Department of Political Science, Berhampur University for the ICSSR sponsored minor research project on “Non-Biodegradable Plastic Pollution and It’s Socio-Economic Implication, Policy Gaps, Public Health Risks, and Sustainable Alternatives in Coastal Odisha: A Case Study of Puri and Chilika”.

Title of position : Field Investigator (one) and Research Assistant (one)
Research Project Name: A Case Study of Puri and Chilika on Non-Biodegradable Plastic Pollution and Its Socio-Economic Consequences, Policy Gaps, Public Health Risks, and Sustainable Alternatives in Coastal Odisha
Tenure: The research project will last for one year.
Employee tenure: Four months for field investigators and eight months for research assistants, or co-terminus with projects, whichever comes first.
Remuneration: Rs. 20,000 per month for field investigators and Rs. 37,000 per month for research assistants (per ICSSR guidelines).
Qualification: According to ICSSR rules, a postgraduate degree in social science with a minimum of 55% of marks is required for a research assistant, and a minimum of 55% is required for a field investigator. Research project work experience, proficiency in statistical software, and fieldwork experience are preferred.
