SAIL Bhilai Steel Plant Recruitment: Bhilai Steel Plant has released notification for the engagement of Consultant(Doctor) through walk-in-interview.

SAIL Bhilai Steel Plant invites applications from qualified candidates for the recruitment of Consultants (Doctors in Medical Disciplines) as GDMO for its hospitals at Mines & Bhilai location including Health Centers. Remuneration
The consolidated monthly remuneration is Rs.90,000/- at Bhilai and Rs.1,00,000/- at mines.

Qualification & Eligibility

MBBS from a recognized school or college.
1. In addition to the other necessary conditions listed above, doctors who are registered with the Medical Council of India (MCI), the National Medical Commission (NMC), the State Medical Council (SMC), or who hold a valid practitioner license and are listed in the State Register or the National Register, as applicable, are the only ones eligible to be considered for engagement.
2. Preference will be given to consultants (physicians in medical disciplines) with suitable work experience. As of the advertisement’s release date, the necessary qualifications and any relevant work experience will be considered.

Age limit
69 years old is the upper age limit as of June 11, 2025 (the day of the walk-in interview).

Tenure of Engagement

1. Consultants (physicians in medical specialties) would first be hired for a one-year term, which might be further extended for another year at the company’s option. Three (03) years would be the maximum duration of engagement under the same. Re-engagement won’t be prohibited, though. The engagement period is subject to a 70-year-old upper age limit.
2. Subject to good performance, the tenure of the consultants (physicians in medical disciplines) shall be reviewed and extended.

Who can apply:

a) Doctors retired from BSP or from other units of SAIL.
b) Doctors retired from other PSUs/Govt. offices.
c) Any other Doctor fulfilling the eligibility criteria.
The ex-employee of SAIL and non-SAIL ex-employees, who have been separated through voluntary retirement, shall not be considered for engagement. The ex-employee doctors will have to provide self-certification in this regard

Selection Procedure of SAIL Bhilai Steel Plant Recruitment for Consultant

i) Document Verification: Only applicants who pass the Document Verification process will be permitted to attend the interview.
ii) Interview: Based on the overall scores received during the interview, a merit list will be created for the final selection in descending order for each discipline and category.
