| Eligibility: (i) Applicants must have a Ph.D. in the relevant, related, or concerned field and a strong academic record. (ii) It is necessary to have a Master’s degree with at least 55% of marks, or an equivalent grade on a point system, if applicable. (iii) It is necessary to have at least eight years of experience teaching and/or doing research at a university, an accredited research institution, or the industry in a position that is equivalent to that of an assistant professor. According to the requirements outlined in Appendix II, Table 2 of the UGC Regulations, 2018, the candidate must have a minimum of seven publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals and a total research score of seventy-five (75). | Eligibility: (i) The candidate must have a Master’s degree in the relevant, related, or concerned discipline from an accredited Indian university with at least 55% of marks (or an equivalent grade on a point scale, if applicable), or an equivalent degree from an accredited overseas institution. (ii) The candidate must also have passed the National Eligibility Test (NET), which is administered by the CSIR or the UGC, or an equivalent exam that has been approved by the UGC, like SLET/SET. OR The requirement of qualifying NET/SLET/SET will not apply to candidates who have already received a Ph.D. degree in line with the UGC Regulations (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree), 2009 or 2016, including any subsequent changes. However, candidates who registered for the Ph.D. program before July 11, 2009, will be subject to the rules of the institution’s then-current bylaws, regulations, and ordinances. These candidates will also be exempt from the NETISLET/SET requirement for appointment as an assistant professor, provided they meet the following requirements: (a) The candidate must have completed standard coursework to earn their Ph.D. (a) At least two external examiners must have reviewed the doctoral thesis. It is necessary for the candidate to have passed an open Ph.D. viva voce exam. (d) The candidates’ Ph.D. work must have been the basis for at least two research publications, at least one of which must have been published in a peer-reviewed journal. (e) At least two papers based on the candidates’ Ph.D. work must have been presented at conferences or seminars that were sponsored, funded, or supported by the CSIR, ICSSR, UGC, or any comparable organization. - The provisions of the then-current Ordinances, Bylaws, and Regulations of the Institution awarding the degrees will govern the awarding of degrees to candidates registered for the M.Phil. or Ph.D. Program prior to July 11, 2009.
- Ph.D. candidates will be exempt from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of “NET” for recruitment and appointment of Lecturer/Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in the University, provided that the following conditions are met: (a) The candidate’s Ph.
