A minimum of seven (seven) publications in referred/peer-reviewed journals, as well as books and/or research/policy papers, demonstrate the candidate’s high caliber of published work and active research involvement. Experience: Eight years or more of experience teaching in universities or colleges, doing research at the university or national level, and mentoring candidates at the PhD level are required. contribution to the development of new courses and curricula, technology-mediated instruction, and educational innovation. 2. Assistant Professor: Good academic record with at least 55% marks at the P.G. level in the discipline relevant to the area of specialization. Postgraduate degree in Education (M. Ed. or M.A. Education and B.Ed.) with minimum 55% marks. In addition to meeting the requirements listed above, preference will be given to the candidate with a NET, M.Phil., or Ph.D. |

- Contractual teachers must provide an undertaking on non-judicial stamp paper before they can, under any circumstances, apply for regular teaching positions. For all purposes, they must adhere to the University’s self-financing guidelines.
- The provisions of the then-current Ordinances, Bylaws, and Regulations of the Institution awarding the degrees will govern the awarding of degrees to candidates registered for the M.Phil. or Ph.D. Program prior to July 11, 2009.
- Ph.D. candidates will be exempt from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of “NET” for recruitment and appointment of Lecturer/Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in the University, provided that the following conditions are met: (a) The candidate’s Ph. D. degree must have been granted exclusively in regular form.(b) A minimum of two external examiners must have evaluated the Ph.D. thesis.(c) The candidate’s Ph.D. work should have produced two research publications, at least one of which should have been published in a peer-reviewed journal;(d) Two papers from the candidate’s Ph.D. work should have been presented at conferences or seminars;(e) The candidate’s open Ph.D. viva-voce must have taken place.
