KIIT Recruitment 2026: KIIT School of Biotechnology invites applications from eligible candidates for the post of Project Assistant to work on the project “Characterization of a probable vesicle-dependent peroxisome targeting pathway for purple acid phosphatase protein and evaluating its role in imparting multiple abiotic Stress tolerance to tomato by CRISPRa/Cas9d mediated genome editing” sponsored by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India; Principal Investigator – Dr. Gopal Chowdhary, Associate Professor, Co-Principal Investigator – Dr. Mrunmay Kumar Giri, Associate Professor, host institution – School of Biotechnology, Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) Deemed to be University, Bhubaneswar – 751024, Odisha.

Project Assistant: 02 positions
Essential Qualification
Essential Qualification: Master’s degree in Life Sciences / Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Plant Biology / Molecular Biology or equivalent from a recognized university.
Desirable Qualification
Desirable Qualification: Experience in the field of plant biology/biotechnology/plant molecular biology.
Duration
Duration: Initially for one year; extendable up to the tenure of the project, subject to performance and availability of funds.
Fellowship
Fellowship: Rs. 20,000 per month + 20% HRA
Age Limit
Age Limit: The upper age limit of the candidate should not be more than 28 years of age as on 16 August 2026. Age relaxations will be given as per the Government of India norms.
