OPTCL Job Vacancy 2025: ODISHA POWER TRANSMISSION CORPORATION LIMITED (OPTCL) has released recruitment notification on 28/05/2025 for the engagement of Junior Management Trainee (Electrical).

ODISHA POWER TRANSMISSION CORPORATION LIMITED (OPTCL) is inviting online applications from qualified young and dynamic candidates for filling up the post of Junior Management Trainee (Electrical) at various offices of OPTCL across the Odisha State. Educational Qualification
Essential: Electrical or Electrical and Electronics Engineering diploma from an accredited university or institution with a minimum of 60% aggregate. The minimum percentage of marks needed for candidates who are SC, ST, or PwBD is 50%.
Important Instructions: i. The aforementioned credentials earned through part-time, distance learning, open universities (apart from IGNOU), or sandwich courses would not be taken into account.
ii. Any higher level of education will not be regarded as a necessary qualification for the position; the candidate must meet the minimal requirements.
Age limit
The candidate must not be younger than 21 (twenty-one) or older than 32 (thirty two) as of May 1, 2025.
Age Relaxation: Age relaxation will be applicable as per govt rules.
Remuneration
During the training period, the Junior Management Trainee (Jr. MT) would get a monthly consolidated stipend of Rs. 30,000. Candidates who successfully complete the course will be hired as Junior Manager (Electrical) in E-2 Grade on probation for a period of one (1) year in a normal establishment. Their starting basic pay will be Rs. 44,900, and their pay matrix would range from Rs. 44,900 to Rs. 1,42,400 (Level: EE-1).

Selection Procedure for OPTCL Job Vacancy 2025 for Jr. MT(Electrical) position:

The selection process includes both a personal interview and a computer-based test (CBT).

A. A computer-based test with 200 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) will be administered to qualified applicants. The duration of the CBT is three (3) hours.

The 200 questions will include: Subject Domain Knowledge (80%), Numerical / GK & Reasoning (10%) & English Knowledge (10%).

B. Each category’s shortlisted candidates are invited for a personal interview in a 1:3 ratio after passing the CBT. The CBT and personal interview performance will be the only criteria used to create the merit list. Both the CBT and the personal interview have a weight of 80% and 20%, respectively.

The candidates are required to visit the Career Section of OPTL official website(https://www.optcl.co.in/Home.aspx) and then navigate to New Opening section and then click on Apply button to fill the online application.

General instructions for candidates:

  1. Candidates are only invited to submit online applications in order to be considered for the Computer Based Test. No alternative application method is permitted.
  2. Following the announcement of the CBT results, candidates who made the short list and were invited for a personal interview must provide a printout or hard copy of their online application along with photocopies of their certificates and supporting documentation by the deadline, which will be announced on the website.
  3. Applications submitted to OPTCL may be rejected if they are determined to be lacking any information. Regarding this, no reply will be accepted.
  4. An applicant does not have the right to an appointment at OPTCL just by applying for the position and meeting the qualifying requirements listed in the advertisement.
  5. The candidates’ final selection will depend on their medical suitability.
  6. If necessary, OPTCL Management retains the right to end the hiring process, not fill any or all of the positions, or change the terms of the advertisement without providing further notice or a justification at any point throughout the hiring process.
