- The concerned person ought to be well-versed in forest crime activities, such as poaching, wildlife crime, illicit logging, encroachment, and the smuggling of forest products.
- Legal frameworks, wildlife protection regulations, and forest rules should all be well understood by the person in question.
- The person in charge must establish rapport and confidence with the local population in order to promote collaboration in crime reporting and forest protection.
- The concerned person will be in charge of gathering all case files and documents to help the public prosecutor prepare and successfully present the case in court.
- If asked to do so by the Bonai Division’s Divisional Forest Officer, the person in charge would conduct fieldwork.
- She or he will review the case files upon receiving the prosecution reports to determine whether there are any flaws in the investigation and have them fixed before turning the files over to the public prosecutor so that the case brief can be prepared. When the public prosecutor points out any flaws, the Divisional Forest Officer, Bonai Division, will work with him to fix them and provide the public prosecutor with any more information that is needed.
- She or he is responsible for making sure that cases are appropriately listed for hearing and for monitoring the case’s daily development.
