Eligibility Criteria
A. Centers of Excellence under RUSA 2.0
1. Centre for Environment Studies, Climate Change & Public Health
- Research Assistant : M.Sc in Botany/Zoology/Biotechnology/any other Life Science subjects, with a minimum of 55% marks. Preference shall be given to candidates with NET/Ph.D. Desirable qualification: Candidates with prior hands-on-experience in animal cell culture technique will be preferred.
- Research Assistant : MA/M.Sc in Economics / Geography/Geology / Public Health / Environmental Science, with a minimum of 55% marks. Preference shall be given to candidates with NET/Ph.D.
2. Centre for Public Policy & Governance
- Research Associate Postgraduate in a Social Science discipline (preferably Political Science / Public Administration/ Economics / Sociology/ Development Studies) with a minimum of 55% marks, along with NET/Ph.D., and at least two years of research experience.
- Research Assistant : Postgraduate in a Social Science discipline (preferably Political Science / Public Administration/ Economics / Sociology/ Development Studies) with a minimum of 55% marks. Preference shall be given to candidates with NET/Ph.D.
- Field Investigator : Must be a graduate in Social Science with minimum 55%; preference shall be given to the four-year graduation program or a postgraduate degree holder.
3. Centre for North-East India Studies
- Research Assistant : Postgraduate in a Social Science & Humanities disciplines with a minimum of 55% marks. Preference shall be given to candidates with NET/Ph.D.
- Field Investigator : Must be a graduate in Social Science & Humanities with minimum 55%; preference shall be given to the four-year graduation program or a postgraduate degree holder.
4. Global Centre of Rural Studies
- Research Assistant : Postgraduate in a Social Science discipline with a minimum of 55% marks. Preference shall be given to candidates with NET/Ph.D.
- Field Investigator : Must be a graduate in a Social Science discipline with minimum 55%; preference shall be given to the four-year graduation program or a postgraduate degree holder.
5. Centre for Study of Unorganized Labour
- Research Assistant : Postgraduate in Management / PMIR / Social Work/Sociology, with minimum 55% mark. Ph.D./M.Phil./NET, with research experience shall be given preference.
- Field Investigator : Must be a graduate in any Management / Social Science discipline with minimum 55% mark; preference shall be given to the four-year graduation program or a postgraduate degree holder.
6. Centre for Study of Language, Literature & Culture
- Research Assistant : Postgraduate in English/ Odia/ Sanskrit or any Social Science of Humanities discipline with a minimum of 55% marks. Preference shall be given to candidates with NET/Ph.D.
- Field Investigator : Must be a graduate in Social Science & Humanities with minimum 55%; preference shall be given to the four-year graduation program or a postgraduate degree holder.
7. High Energy and Condensed Matter Physics
- Research Associate: M.Sc in Physics with a minimum of 55% mark, with NET/Ph.D., and at least two years of research experience.
- Research Assistant : M.Sc in Physics with a minimum of 55% mark. Preference shall be given to candidates with NET/Ph.D.
B. Academic Coordinator (R&D Cell)
- Research-cum-Academic Coordinator : Master degree in any discipline with minimum 55% marks. Preference will be given to candidates having experience of Project coordination & documentation, Research & Policy documentation, having computer skill and digital data management.
Utkal University Research Staff Salary Details
- Research Associate : ₹47,000/- p.m.
- Research Assistant : ₹37,000/- p.m.
- Field Investigator : ₹20,000/- p.m.
- Research-cum-Academic Coordinator : ₹37,000/- p.m.
