OPSC Assistant Professor Recruitment 2025: ODISHA PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION has released notification on 15/05/2025 for the engagement of 314 numbers of Assistant Professors.

OPSC is inviting qualified applicants to apply online for posting in the State of Odisha’s Government MCHs to fill the openings for Assistant Professors in the Odisha Medical Education Service cadre. Educational Qualification

To be considered for direct hiring, an applicant needs to:
(i) Possess a postgraduate degree in the relevant broad specialty or any other degree or qualification that the MCI/NMC may occasionally prescribe.
(ii) Candidates who have completed Diplomate National Board training in the relevant field are also qualified for the Assistant Professor position, provided they meet any additional requirements set forth by MCI/NMC from time to time.
(iii) According to earlier recommendations, candidates who were appointed as Assistant Professors in Medical Colleges prior to 08.06.2017 without having experience as SR are exempt from the one-year SR experience requirement while applying to be Assistant Professors in other Medical Colleges.
(iv) Candidates who were employed as assistant professors prior to June 8, 2017, are excluded from the one-year teaching experience requirement in the relevant field.

Age Criteria
Candidates must be at least 21 (twenty-one) years old and no older than 45 (forty-five) years old as of January 1, 2025; that is, they must not have been born before January 2, 1980, or after January 1, 2004. Age relaxation will be applied as per govt rule.

Method of Selection:

According to the rules listed in the Odisha Medical Education Service, candidates will be chosen for recruitment to the positions of Assistant Professor in Broad Specialty based on their performance on a written test.

Examination Fee:

All candidate categories are free from the examination fee.

The online application link and submission link will be accessible on the website from May 26, 2025, to June 26, 2025, till 5:00 p.m.

Only online applications submitted by the deadline, which is June 26, 2025, will be accepted.

The written examination date is 17 August 2025.
