Essential Qualification: M. E./M. Tech. in Metallurgy, Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Applied Mechanics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Aerospace Engineering, Bio-medical Engineering, Biotechnology, Ceramics Engineering, or allied discipline or M.Sc. in Physics/Chemistry/Materials Science/Life Sciences/Mathematics from a recognized University/ Institute with minimum 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA on a 10-point scale are eligible to apply for the JRF positions with valid GATE/ NET. For SC/ST/PwD category, a minimum 55% marks or 6.0 CGPA on 10-point scale is required with valid GATE/NET.
Desirable Qualification:
- Exposure in computational science, computational materials engineering, materials thermodynamics, and simulation-based materials design will be an added advantage.
- Good communication skills.
- Motivation for pursuing a PhD in Metallurgy & Materials Engineering under ANRF or similar funded schemes.
Age Limit: Maximum 30 years, (Upper age limit is relaxable up to 5 years for SC/ST/OBC/Woman and physically handicapped candidates).

Fellowship: Rs. 37,000/- p.m. + Rs 11,100/- (30% HRA) = Rs 48,100/- per month

Walk-in Interview: Interested eligible candidates are advised to attain walk interview on September 02, 2026 at 11:30 am at Dean (R&C) office, Science and Technology Building, IIEST Shibpur.
Short listing may be done before the interview.
