ISI Kolkata Recruitment 2026: Indian Statistical Institute (ISI) Kolkata is going to conduct a walk-in-interview/online interview on 02 September 2026 at 10:30 a.m. at the Machine Intelligence Unit (MIU), 3rd floor of the Platinum Jubilee Academic Building of the Indian Statistical Institute (ISI), 203 B. T. Road, Kolkata 700108, for the recruitment of One (01) Project Scientist purely on temporary basis to work for the project titled “National Network Project of Bose Institute with Indian Statistical Institute and Vidyasagar University” in the Machine Intelligence Unit of the Institute.

  • Unit/Department: Machine Intelligence Unit (MIU)
  • Tenure of Appointment: Purely on temporary basis. The appointment will be till 31 March 2027 which may be extended later/terminated earlier, depending on availability of funds and performance of the candidate.

ISI Kolkata Project Scientist Eligibility Criteria (যোগ্যতামাপদণ্ড)

Qualifications:

Essential:

  1. M.Sc./ M.E./ M.Tech. in Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Electronics/ Electrical/ Instrumentation/ Mathematics/ Applied Mathematics/ Statistics/ Computational Biology/ Bioinformatics
  2. At least three years research experience in the field of machine learning/ deep learning
  3. At least one peer reviewed paper in SCI Journal/ Conference Proceedings
  4. Good skill in computer programming

Desirable:

  1. PhD in the field of machine learning/ deep learning/ computational biology/ bioinformatics/ biomedical data analysis
  2. Industrial experience in machine learning/ deep learning

Age Limit:

Should not exceed 40 years as on 02 September 2026, with usual relaxation for SC/ ST/ OBC-NCL/ PwBD candidates. Age relaxation may be given to outstanding candidates or candidates with relevant experience.

ISI Kolkata Project Scientist Salary Details (বেতনবিবরণী)

  • Pay: Fixed Pay of ₹56,000/- (Rupees fifty-six thousand only) plus 24% House Rent Allowance per month.
