Recruitment at SJMCH Puri: SHRI JAGANNATH MEDICAL COLLECE & HOSPITAL PURI has issued notification on 07/05/2025 for the engagement of Tutor / Junior Residents on contractual basis.

SHRI JAGANNATH MEDICAL COLLECE & HOSPITAL PURI is going to conduct walk-in-interview on 13.05.2025 for filling up the post of Tutor / Junior Residents on contractual basis. The interested candidates are suggested to go through the following vacancy details before attending the interview.

Educational Qualification: The candidate must possess a MBBS degree or equivalent degree recognized by MCI/NMC.
Terms & Conditions:
1. Nonetheless, individuals with a postgraduate degree in the relevant field will be given priority. Only candidates having an MBBS degree will be taken into consideration if there are no MD/DNB candidates available in any category of the mentioned discipline.
2. Candidates with an M. Sc. Degree enrolled in regular on-campus courses in Medical Anatomy, Medical Physiology, and Medical Biochemistry, along with any additional qualifications that may be prescribed by MCI/NMC, will be considered in the relevant disciplines only if there are insufficient PG Degree candidates, followed by MBBS qualified candidates. However, those with an MBBS will be given preference over those with an M.Sc.
3. Using a different application form and price for each discipline, MBBS candidates can apply for tutoring in multiple pre- and paraclinical academic areas. (If there is a vacancy)
4. The candidate must not be employed by or have served as a Senior Resident or Tutor at any MCI/NMC-approved, recognized, or licensed institution.
5. The engagement shall be purely temporary for a period of one year which may be extended on year-to-year basis for maximum period of 3 years subject to satisfactory performance
6. The posts are non-practicing
7. The candidates who are continuing as Post PG bond service are entitled for teaching experience certificate as SR for two years and hence shall not apply.
8. The appointment shall be made as per the terms & conditions / Job responsibilities envisaged in Government Resolution No. 18582/ H&FW dt.13.08.2020.
Junior Residents
Educational Qualification: A candidate must possess a MBBS degree or equivalent degree recognized by MCI/NMC. The candidate must have completed the compulsory one-year rotating Internship.
The candidates must have registered their Medical Qualification at Central/State Medical Council (Permanent Registration).
The above qualifications must have been obtained before the date of Walk in Interview.
Terms & Conditions:
1. Candidates having post-graduate in any discipline or are continuing or have completed a three years tenure as Senior Resident/Tutor in any MCI/NMC Permitted/ Approved/ Recognized institutions are not eligible to apply.
2. Candidates who are serving under OMHS cadre on regular basis are not eligible to apply.
The posts are non-practicing.
3. The appointment shall be made as per the terms & conditions / Job responsibilities envisaged in Government Resolution No.18582/ H &FW dt.13.08.2020.
4. The engagement is purely temporary for a period of one year which may be extended on year to year basis for a maximum of 3 years subject to the satisfactory performance.
Age Limit
For Tutors: The upper age limit must be less than 45 years as on the date of interview in the post for SR.
For Junior Residents: The upper age limit shall be less than 69 years as on date of interview.
N.B: The date of birth entered in the High School Certificate or equivalent certificate issued by the concerned Board/Council only shall be accepted.
Remuneration
The Tutor (MD candidates) will be paid a consolidated amount of Rs. 75,000 for clinical subjects and Rs 80,000 for Non-clinical and Para-clinical subject.
The Tutor (MBBS, MSc) will be paid a consolidated amount of Rs 65,000 per month.
The Junior Resident will be paid a consolidated amount of Rs. 60,000/- (Rupees Sixty
thousand only) per month.
The In-Service Candidates shall be allowed salary at par to the post in which appointed and will be eligible to receive any incentive as may be notified by Govt. It will be guided as per the Govt letter No. 9684/H Dt 02.05.2022.
Any additional incentive declared by the Government of Odisha for these posts shall also be applicable.
Appointment Tenure
The engagement for Direct/Deputation candidates of the tutor rank will be entirely temporary, with a year-to-year tenure basis. Depending on requirements and good performance, the engagement may last up to three years.
Junior Resident participation will be strictly temporary, with a year-to-year tenure basis. Depending on requirements and excellent performance, it may last up to three years.
Nonetheless, the government retains the authority to terminate the SR/JR’s employment with one month’s notice from either party.

How to apply:

The application form for the Senior Resident/Tutor (Pre and Para-clinical) Junior Resident positions may be found in the Recruitment section of the Shri Jagannath Medical College and Hospital’s official website. The website is https://simch.odisha.gov.in/. Interested candidates must complete the Google forms for the position by 1:00 pm on May 12th in order to pre-register. The Google Forms link can be found on the website and in the advertisement. It is preferable for candidates to complete Google forms so that the hiring committee can sort them.

The completed Google forms must be submitted before document verification for candidates who show up for the interview without having completed them. Those who have completed the Google forms by 1:00 pm on May 12th, however, will be given preference for document verification. On May 13, 2025, between 10:00 AM and 1:30 PM, all qualified applicants must personally visit the Dean & Principal’s office at SJMCH, Puri, and turn in the completed application form (attached to this advertisement), a self-attested copy of the necessary paperwork, and a color passport photo.

Candidates should complete different application forms, submit separate sets of photocopies of their supporting documentation, and pay an application fee for each discipline or post they are applying for, such as tutoring several subjects or tutoring and junior research. For verification, they need to bring the original documents. A 500 rupee recruitment fee must be paid as a demand draft to the principal and dean of SJMCH, Puri payable at Puri.
