Recruitment at OHPC: ODISHA HYDRO POWER CORPORATION LTD.(OHPC) has released notification 08/05/2025 for the engagement of Assistant Teachers on contractual basis for the Project High School, Bariniput and Kabi Surya M.E. School, Mundiguda, Koraput.

Bariniput and Kabi Surya M.E. School, Mundiguda, Koraput under ODISHA HYDRO POWER CORPORATION LTD.(OHPC) is inviting applications from eligible candidates for filling up the post of Assistant Teachers (MCT)/ (TGT) Science/ Arts and PET purely on contractual basis. Asst. Teacher (MCT)
Educational Qualification: According to the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulation, 2002, Higher Secondary (+2) or its equivalent with at least 50% of marks and a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (CT or D.EL. Ed.)
OR
Higher Secondary (+2) or its equivalent with at least 45% of marks and a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name it is known).
OR
A four-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) degree and at least 50% in Higher Secondary (+2) or its equivalent.
OR
A two-year Diploma in Education (Special Education) and at least 50% in Higher Secondary (+2) or its equivalent.
OR
A two-year elementary education diploma (by whatever name it is called).
OR
At least 50% on the B.Ed. and graduation or post-graduation exams.
OR
A minimum of 50% in graduation or postgraduate studies and a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.)
OR
A minimum of 45% in graduation and a one-year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) in compliance with NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure).
OR
A four-year BA/B.Sc.Ed. or B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed. degree and at least 50% in Higher Secondary (+2) or its equivalent. completing one year of B.Ed. (Special Education) and graduating with at least 50% of the possible points.
OR
Post-Graduation with three years of integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. and at least 55% of the possible points, or an equivalent grade.
(i) The Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test-I (OTET-I) must be passed.
(ii) The candidate must have passed an Odia language test comparable to the Matric level, as determined by the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha, or have Odia as their MIL up to Class X.
Desirable: Candidates with experience and computer knowledge will be given preference.
Age Limit: The candidate must be at least 18 years old and older than 38 on April 1, 2025. For candidates from the SEBC, SC, ST, and women categories, the maximum age restriction is lowered by five years; for candidates from the PwD category, it is lowered by ten years; and for ex-servicemen, it is lowered by the whole amount of time they served in the armed forces.
Assistant Teacher (TGT) Arts
Educational Qualification: With Odia as a language subject, the candidate must have passed the High School Certificate, its equivalent, or any subsequent test.
OR
The candidate must have passed the High School Certificate or an equivalent test using Odia as the medium of education for non-language subjects.
In addition to having a Bachelor of Arts/Commerce degree from an accredited university with any two of the following subjects: English, Odia, Hindi, Sanskrit, History, Geography, Economics, Political Science, Indian Economy, Landmarks in Indian History, Indian Geography, Indian Polity, Business Economics, and Communicative English, the candidate must have earned a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) or a three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. from any NCTE-authorized institution with at least 50% of the possible points.
OR
Any NCTE-recognized institution offering a four-year integrated B.A.Ed. program with two school subjects and an aggregate score of 50% (45% for SC/ST/PwD/SEBC candidates).
Pass in OSSTET (Odisha Secondary School Teacher Eligibility Test).
Desirable: Candidates with experience and computer knowledge will be given preference.
Age Limit: The candidate must be at least 18 years old and older than 38 on April 1, 2025. For candidates from the SEBC, SC, ST, and women categories, the maximum age restriction is lowered by five years; for candidates from the PwD category, it is lowered by ten years; and for ex-servicemen, it is lowered by the whole amount of time they served in the armed forces.
Asst. Teacher (TGT) Science -CBZ
Educational Qualification: The candidate must have passed any higher test with Odia as a language subject, or the High School Certificate or its equivalent.
OR
The candidate must have passed the High School certificate or an equivalent exam using Odia as the medium of instruction for non-language subjects.
The candidate must have earned a Bachelor of Science (CBZ) degree from an accredited university in any of the following two subjects: Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Biology, Biotechnology, and Life Science, with at least 50% of the possible points in the total (45% for SC/ST/PwD/SEBC candidates) and a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) or three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. from any NCTE-accredited institution.
OR
Four-year integrated B.Sc.B.Ed. from any NCTE recognized institution with any two School subjects having 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST/PwD/SEBC candidates)
Pass in OSSTET (Odisha Secondary School Teacher Eligibility Test)

Educational Qualification: The candidate must have passed any higher test with Odia as a language subject, or the High School Certificate or its equivalent.
OR
The candidate must have passed the High School certificate or an equivalent exam using Odia as the medium of education for non-language subjects.
The candidate must have completed the +2 or its equivalent exam from an accredited institution with at least 50% of marks (45% for candidates who are SC, ST, PwD, SEBC, athletes, or former service members) AND earned a C.P.Ed., B.P.Ed., or M.P.Ed. from an accredited Board or university.
Desirable: Candidates with experience and computer knowledge will be given preference.
Age Limit: The candidate must be at least 18 years old and older than 38 on April 1, 2025. General Instructions:

  1. For a year following the date of the appointee’s actual joining, the appointment will be solely on a contractual basis and will not grant any claim or right for regular future employment. In this regard, the appointee must sign an undertaking.
  2. The candidates’ names ought to have been listed in an Odisha employment exchange.
  3. The date of birth that was entered in the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha’s High School Certificate Examination or an equivalent certificate issued by a recognized Board, Council, or Indian university as an equivalent thereto shall be accepted.
  4. Candidates who have only received “Grade Marks” rather than a percentage of marks should include the conversion certificate from the relevant university or institution with their application. This certificate should include the conversion formula and the actual percentage of marks; otherwise, the application may be rejected.
  5. During the interview, no TA or DA will be permitted.
  6. In compliance with the OHPC Accommodation Rules, rent-free lodging will be offered at UKHEP, Bariniput, contingent on the availability of quarters.
  7. Any kind of canvassing will result in a candidate’s disqualification.
  8. Without providing a justification, OHPC retains the right to remove or alter all or a portion of the advertisement. Additionally, it retains the power to accept or reject any application without providing a justification.
