• Post: Junior Research Fellow (01 Position)
• Duration: Initially 1 year and extendable another 1 year or until project termination, whichever is earlier (Performance review on a yearly basis extension subject to satisfactory progress).

Eligibility Criteria (ଯୋଗ୍ୟତା ମାପଦଣ୍ଡ)

Essential Qualification:

1. Master’s degree in Geography with RS/GIS (or) M.Sc. in Geo-informatics (RS/GIS)
2. Should have a strong conceptual and theoretical understanding of Remote sensing, GIS and related data products.

Desirable Qualification:

1. UGC/CSIR NET in relevant subjects.
2. Academic/Professional experience in the fields of Remote Sensing/GIS such as Google earth engine (GEE), RS/GIS Software (Are GIS pro, QGIS), Multi criteria decision making (F-AHP, PROMTHEE), Machine learning algorithms (S-PCA, RF, XG Boost) etc.

• Scope for PhD enrolment

Age Limit:

• Maximum 32 years (Relaxation may be considered for exceptionally qualified candidates).

• Remuneration: Rs. 37000/- + HRA

Ravenshaw University Recruitment 2026: Ravenshaw University, Kataka (Odisha) has issued notification for the Engagement of Guest Faculty in different Self-financing Courses/ Departments. Interested and eligible candidates are invited to attend the walk-in-interview for engagement as Guest Faculty in the subjects/programmes, namely, MCA, JMC, ITM and Rural Development Study Programme.

Eligibility Criteria (ଯୋଗ୍ୟତା ମାପଦଣ୍ଡ)

• The eligibility criteria for the engagement shall be the same as prescribed for the post of Assistant Professor in the respective subjects, as per UGC Regulation, published in the Gazette of India, as amended from time to time.

Salary Details (ଦରମାବିବରଣୀ)

• The engagement shall be purely temporary, for a period of one Semester one year, on a fixed remuneration of Rs.1,000/- per class subject to a maximum of Rs.35, 000/- per month and can be terminated any time without assigning any reasons.
