PGIMER Bhubaneswar Recruitment 2025: POST GRADUATE INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL EDUCATION & RESEARCH AND CAPITAL HOSPITAL (PGIMERCH), BHUBANESWAR has released notification on 05/06/2025 for filling up the various vacant positions.

PGIMER & CH, Bhubaneswar is going to recruit Junior Resident / Senior Resident , Assistant Professor, Associate Professor & Professor on contractual / deputation basis through walk-in-interview. The interested candidate can check out the following vacancy details before applying for the positions.

Vacancy details for PGIMER Bhubaneswar Recruitment 2025

Professor
Qualification: i. MD, MS, DNB, DM, MCH, or an equivalent degree in the relevant specialty or field from any NMC/MCI-permitted, accredited, or recognized medical college is required.
ii. After receiving the degree, one must have a current, valid medical registration and register any additional qualifications with the State Council of Medical Registration.
Teaching and Research Experience: i. Must have at least three years of experience teaching as an Associate Professor in the relevant field at any medical college that is authorized, recognized, and permitted by the NMC or MC.
ii. At least eight years of post-PG experience is required.
iii. In accordance with the NMC’s “Teachers Eligibility Qualifications in Medical Institutions, 2022,” at least four research publications—at least two as an associate professor.
iv. Must have finished the NMC-designated institution’s “Basic Course in Medical Education” (BCME).
v. Completion of the “Basie Course in Bio-Medical Research” (BCBR) is required.
Associate Professor
Qualification: i. Must have graduated from any NMC/MCI-permitted, approved, or recognized medical college with an MD, MS, DNB, DM, or MCH degree, or an equivalent degree, in the relevant specialization or subject.
ii. After receiving the degree, the individual must have a current, valid medical registration and register any additional qualifications under any State Council of Medical Registration.
Teaching and Research Experience: i. Must have teaching experience of minimum 4 years as Assistant Professor in the concerned discipline in any NMC/MCI permitted/approved/recognized medical college.
ii. Must have at least 5 years post-PG experience.
iii. At least 2 research publications as per NMC Teachers Eligibility Qualifications in Medical
Institutions, 2022.
iv. Must have completed ‘Basic Course in Medical Education’ from institution designated by
NMC,
v. Must have completed ‘Basic Course in Bio-Medical Research’
Assistant Professor
Qualification: i. must have graduated from any NMC/MCI-permitted, approved, or recognized medical college with an MD, MS, DNB, DM, or MCH degree, or an equivalent degree, in the relevant specialization or subject.
ii. After earning the degree, the individual must have enrolled with any State Medical Council, MCI, or NMC.
Teaching and Research Experience: i. After earning an MD, MS, or DNB degree, the individual must have completed a minimum of one year of Senior Residency in the relevant field at a medical college that has been approved or recognized.
Senior Resident
Qualification: i. The candidate must hold an MD, MS, DNB, DM, MCH, or any comparable degree in the field for which they are applying, as specified by MCI/NMC in the “Minimum Qualifications for Teachers in Medical Institutions Regulations, 2022,” which are periodically updated or modified.
ii. The candidate must not be a Senior Resident at any MCI/NMC-permitted, accredited, or recognized institution, nor have they finished their term there.
iii. A candidate shall not be eligible for re-engagement if their employment as a Senior Resident has been terminated by any state-run government medical college for any reason.
Junior Resident
Qualification: i. For the medical stream, a candidate must have an MBBS degree that has been approved by MCI or NMC, as applicable.
ii. The applicant needs to have finished the required one-year rotating internship.
The candidates’ medical qualifications must be registered with the State or Central Medical Council. (permanent Registration)
iii. Candidates who are pursuing or have finished three years of employment as senior residents or tutors in an MCI/NMC-permitted, accredited, or recognized institution, or who hold a post-graduate degree in any field, are not eligible to apply.
Age limit
1. Candidates on a contractual basis for the positions of assistant professor, associate professor, and professor must be under 69 years old on the day of the interview (the maximum age at which one can serve is 70 years old).
2. Candidates for Senior Residents must be under 45 years old on the day they start working for the organization.
3. Candidates for Junior Residents must be under 69 years old on the day of the interview (the maximum age at which a person can serve is 70 years old).
Remuneration
Salary or consolidated pay of contractual Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, SR, JR shall be as per the guidelines of Health & FW Department of Govt. of Odisha as applicable from time to time.
Tenure of Engagement
Subject to good performance, the engagement for all contractual applicants will be strictly temporary and on a year-to-year basis for a maximum of four years.
For contractual direct candidates (Senior Residents), the position will be strictly temporary and run on an annual basis for a maximum of three years, provided they perform well.

Important instructions for candidates relating to PGIMER Bhubaneswar Recruitment 2025:

  1. The vacancies will be published by the 5th of every month in the website of PGIMER and Capital Hospital, Bhubaneswar (https://pgimerch.odisha.gov.in). The Walk-in interview will be held on the 12th of every month (the next working day if it is a holiday) without any further advertisement.
  2. After receiving the required approval from the H & FW Department of the Government of Odisha, direct candidates will be employed on a contract basis, and in-service candidates would be appointed on a deputation basis.
  3. Faculty members who have already been hired (contractually or on deputation) by VIMSAR, Burla, or AHIRCC, Cuttack, or any other state government medical college, are not eligible to apply for the same position. If qualified, they may apply for the next higher position. Regular faculty members of any state-run medical college, including VIMSAR in Burla or AHRCC in Cuttack, are not permitted to apply. The Junior Resident position is not open to in-service candidates working for the Odisha government under the OMEIS cadre.

Application Procedure for PGIMER Bhubaneswar Recruitment 2025:

  1. All candidates must pre-register by completing the Google form found at the link; those who do not will not be given consideration for document verification.

  2. Without further notice, the walk-in interview will take place on the 12th of each month (or the following business day if it falls on a holiday).
