Guest faculty vacancy in Odisha Govt Higher Secondary Schools 2025: Great opportunity for the retired educators to reengage themselves in their respective schools/colleges where they got retired and the freshers who are aspiring to work as guest faculty in the govt higher secondary school.

As per the order from Government in Directorate of Higher secondary education Odisha, different govt higher secondary schools/colleges of Odisha have released notification for the recruitment of Guest faculty in various subjects on temporary basis. The interested candidates are suggested to go through the detail provision of vacancy in both school and college such as the educational qualification, age limit, application procedure, selection procedure, terms and conditions etc. given below.

Educational Qualification
1. A master’s degree in the relevant field with at least 50% of the marks or an equivalent grade is required of the candidate.
2. The applicant should have B.Ed. or equivalent degree recognized by NCTE, New Delhi, in case of B.Ed. subjects.
Procedure of selection of guest faculty for School
Selection is to be made as per the following order of preference:
1. Retired Government College/HSS teachers who are still under 65, provided their performance prior to retirement was satisfactory.
2. Retired instructors from Aided College or HSS who were receiving GIA from the government and who had not reached the age of 65. If there are more retired teachers available than needed, the principal will choose the best candidate.
3. In the event that retired teachers are not available, new applicants will be chosen based on merit using the selection process listed below.
Section Criteria:
The selection will be done on basis of career marking in the following way:
Ph.D.= 0, NET= 0, M.Phil.= 0, Master degree= 25 marks, B.Ed.= 25 marks,
Bachelor degree= 15 marks, +2 or equivalent= 10 marks, HSC or equivalent= 10 marks
Remuneration
There is a limitation of 50 classes per month, and the compensation is Rs.400 per class.
Age limit
The age of the retired teacher should be below 65 years.

Terms & Conditions:

  1. The authority retains the right, at any moment and without providing a justification, to cancel all or a portion of the panel or advertisement.
  2. Engagement of the empaneled applicants is not guaranteed by empanelment.
  3. Any kind of canvassing for engagement and selection is strictly prohibited.
  4. Participating Guest Facilities must abide by all HSS and occasionally governmental rules, regulations, and recommendations.
  5. In order to participate in classes and co-curricular and extracurricular events at the school, Engaged Guest Faculty must adhere to the HSS schedule and any directives from the Principal or Head of the Department.
  6. Engaged Guest Faculty are not permitted to request long-term employment with the government or HSS.
