Eligibility Criteria (ଯୋଗ୍ୟତା ମାପଦଣ୍ଡ)

I. FOR THE POSTS OF PROFESSOR(S) AND ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR(S):

• Retired Professor or Associate Professor from Govt/Govt. Aided/ Private Institution/University.
• Having eligibility as per UGC Regulations dated 18th July 2018.
• Below the age of 70 years.

1. FOR THE POST OF PROFESSOR:

Eligibility

• I. An eminent scholar having a Ph.D. degree in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline, and published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with, a minimum of 10 research publications in the peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals and a total research score of 120 as per the criteria given in Appendix II, Table 2 of UGC Regulations dated 18th July, 2018.
• II. A minimum of Ten years of teaching experience in University/college as Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor, and / or research experience at equivalent level at the University/National Level Institutions with evidence of having successfully guided doctoral candidate.

2. FOR THE POST OF ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR:

Eligibility:

• I. A good academic record, with a Ph.D. Degree in the concerned/allied/relevant disciplines.
• II. A Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale, wherever the grading system is followed).
• III. A minimum of eight years of experience of teaching and / or research in an academic/research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University, College or Accredited Research Institution/industry with a minimum of seven publications in the peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals and a total research score of Seventy-five (75) as per criteria given in Appendix II, Table 2 of UGC Regulations dated 18th July, 2018.

II. FOR THE POSTS OF ASSISTANT PROFESSOR (GUEST FACULTY)

• Candidates having requisite qualifications as per UGC Regulations 2018 can apply.
• Retired and In-service candidates below the age of 70 may also apply.

Eligibility

• I. A Master’s degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) in a concerned/relevant/allied subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
• II. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET or who are or have been awarded a Ph. D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their amendments from time to time as the case may be exempted from NET/SLET/SET.

MAXIMUM AGE LIMIT:

• 70 years for Professors and Associate Professor and Retired Assistant Professor
• 60 years for Fresh candidate/in service Assistant Professor as on closing date.
• Age limit to be considered as on the closing date.

Salary Details (ଦରମାବିବରଣୀ)

• HONORARIUM: As per the rate decided by HED Govt. of Odisha.
• Retired Professor: Rs. 50,000/- per month for at least of 35 classes/per month and other assignments as assigned by the University.
• Retired Associate Professor: Rs. 40,000/- per month for at least of 35 classes per month and other assignments as assigned by the University.
• Assistant Professor (Guest Lecturer): Having full load as regular faculty @ Minimum 40 classes and other assignment as assigned by University @ Rs.1,000/- per class with Ph.D. degree and @ Rs.750/- per class without Ph.D. degree.
• Maximum Emolument: The maximum emolument of Assistant Professor with Ph.D.is limited to Rs. 60,000/- where as it is Rs. 45,000/- for without Ph.D. But HOD of the concerned department requires to take the prior approval from the Vice-Chancellor for the month in which he/she thinks the Assistant Professor is expected to draw more than Rs. 40,000/- (without Ph.D.) and Rs.45,000/- (with Ph.D.).

ଚୟନପ୍ରକ୍ରିୟା (Selection Process)

• Only Offline submission of Application will be accepted.
• Screening of Application and short listing of candidates.
• Issue of interview letter
• Interview by the Approved Selection Committee.
• Empanelment of Selected Candidates, and
• Issue of Offer of Appointment as per the current requirement.

Shortlisting & Interview Criteria:

• For single post top 20 candidates shall be called for interview, whereas for 2 posts 30 candidates and for 3 posts 40 candidates shall be called for interview in every cadre.

• The candidate securing less than 50% marks in the interview will not be part of the merit list.
