Recruitment at Nabarangpur Forest Division: NABARANGPUR FOREST DIVISION FOREST, ENVIRONMENT & CLIMATE CHANGE DEPARTMENT GOVT. OF ODISHА has issued notification on 28/04/2025 for the engagement of Senior Research Fellow(SRF) on purely temporary basis.

Nabarangpur Forest Division invites application from eligible candidates for filling up the post of Senior Research Fellow(SRF). The interested candidates are suggested to apply the position by going through the following vacancy details.

Educational Qualification & Experience
Essential Qualification: The candidate must possess an M.Sc. in Zoology, Wildlife Biology, Life Sciences, Animal Biotechnology, Microbiology, Forestry, Biodiversity Conservation, Biochemistry, Veterinary Science, or a related field from an accredited university with at least 60% of marks.
Desirable: Experience in Wildlife, Bird or any wildlife census, data management in MS-EXCEL, MS-Word, MS-Power Point web- based tools and statistical data analysis will be preferred.
Age Limit
As on April 1, 2025, the candidate’s the maximum age should be 35 years ; for SC, ST, and SEBC applicants, this can be lowered by up to five years.
Remuneration
The monthly total remuneration will be Rs. 31,000 + 16% House Rent Allowance.
Appointment Tenure
The Senior Research Fellow will work there for a maximum of twelve (12) months. The Divisional Forest Officer, Nabarangpur, may opt to extend the engagement based on performance.
Working Hour
The Senior Research Fellow will be expected to be on duty in Office opening to closing hours. The candidate may be required to work on off days and beyond duty hours on the discretion of the Divisional Forest Officer, Nabarangpur Forest Division with mutual agreement.
Leave
With prior approval from the Divisional Forest Officer of the Nabarangpur Forest Division, the candidate is permitted to take 15 days of casual leave annually.

Important Instructions:

  1. The Office is free to end the engagement at any time with one (1) month’s notice and without providing a justification.
  2. Without previous authorization from the appropriate authority, the Senior Research Fellow will not utilize or distribute any data pertaining to the Nabarangpur Forest Division to third parties. The Nabarangpur Forest Division shall be the owner of all records, reports, and scholarly articles. No information pertaining to the Division or the Project should be stored on personal mobile phones or cameras. Any data captured in any format on these devices should be moved as soon as possible to the Nabarangpur Forest Division’s computer or hard drive.
  3. On the day of the interview, candidates should bring the completed applications to the Divisional Forest Office, Nabarangpur Forest Division At/Po-Nabarangpur, Dist-Nabarangpur, along with self-attested true copies of testimonials of educational qualifications, certification, work experience, proof of date of birth, category, etc. Copies of mark sheets from all exams and the “No Objection Certificate” from the current employer, if employed.
  4. Within seven days of receiving the acceptance letter, the applicant will provide their commitment that they will be able to start working at their current job. Along with the application, a brief summary of prior experience should be included.
  5. The Nabarangpur Forest Division’s Divisional Forest Officer has the authority to choose or reject applicants, as well as to remove the advertisement without providing a justification.

Selection procedure:

The selection process will be determined by the candidate’s performance during the interview and prior field experience. Preference will be given to those with comparable work experience and understanding of working in the Forest Department.

The candidates will be interviewed for selection on the designated day, which is May 15, 2025, following registration and application review.
