The ICAR-Central Tuber Crops Research Institute (ICAR-CTCRI), Sreekariyam, Thiruvananthapuram, has announced a recruitment drive for one Young Professional-I (YP-I) and one Skilled Labour to work under the project “Use of Red Mud for soil amelioration and development of red mud area for cultivation at Vedanta Ltd, Lanjigarh, Odisha”.

🎯 Essential Qualifications & Desired Skills
1. Young Professional-I
- Essential Qualification: B.Sc. in Chemistry, Environmental Science, or B.Sc. in Agriculture.
- Essential Skills: Sound knowledge and work experience in a soil laboratory on soil analytical techniques.
- Desirable Qualifications: M.Sc. in Agriculture (Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry) / M.Sc. in Chemistry (Inorganic/Analytical Chemistry) / M.Sc. in Environmental Science.
- Additional Desirable Skills: Experience in conducting lab and field experiments, data recording, data analysis, and publication.
- Bonus: Additional weightage for candidates with a keen interest in red mud and fly ash research and the ability to travel to project sites for conducting studies.
- Age Limit: Between 21 to 35 years as on the date of recruitment (relaxation as per ICAR rules).
2. Skilled Labour
- Essential Qualification: Plus Two with vocational agriculture / B.Sc. (Chemistry) / B.Sc. (Environmental Science) .
- Desirable Skills: Skills in assisting and managing field, laboratory, and related analytical/outside works. This includes maintenance at project locations and data management.
- Common Requirement (Both Posts): Basic computer knowledge.
- Age Limit: Between 21 to 35 years as on the date of recruitment (relaxation as per ICAR rules).
Selection Procedure for Recruitment at ICAR CTCRI Odisha
The selection for the posts of Young Professional-I and Skilled Labour will be based on the following criteria:
- Academic Performance
- Additional Relevant Qualifications
- Research / Technology Incubation Experience (This would be more applicable to the YP-I post)
- Performance in the Interview
✅ Mandatory Requirements for Candidates
Candidates must arrive 60 minutes before the reporting time for official formalities and document verification.
- Application: Bring an application with your full bio-data addressed to the Director, ICAR-CTCRI, Thiruvananthapuram.
- Documents: Bring original documents for verification AND self-attested photocopies of:
- Certificates and mark sheets (from SSLC onwards).
- Experience certificates.
- Publications/additional qualifications relevant to the job.
- Photograph: Affix a recent passport size photograph on top of the application.
- NOC: If you are currently employed elsewhere, you must produce a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from your employer.
Important Note: The previous recruitment notice dated 07.10.2025 has been cancelled, and this new notification (Dated: 27.10.2025) is the one to follow. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the test/interview.
