| According to the University Grants Commission’s (Minimum Qualifications for Appointment of Teachers and other Academic Staff in Universities and Colleges and other Measures for the Maintenance of Standards in Higher Education) Regulations, 2018 of July 18, a prominent scholar with a Ph.D. degree in the relevant, related, or concerned discipline and a strong record of published work must be actively conducting research, have at least ten research publications in internationally reputable peer-reviewed journals, and have a total research score (API) of 120. OR An exceptional professional with a Ph.D. degree in the relevant, allied, or applied fields from any university or business that has significantly advanced knowledge in the field, backed up by documentation, as long as they have ten years of experience. OR The following will be considered crucial if the applicant is from the industry and the profession: 1. Maintaining a strong academic record with a Master’s degree in a related, related, or related field, or its equivalent, and earning at least 60% marks. 2. An exceptional practitioner with a well-established reputation in the field who has significantly advanced knowledge and practice in the appropriate discipline, as evidenced by credentials. 3. The candidate should have 12 years of relevant or related experience in industry or profession, as well as substantial professional work experience that is recognized nationally and internationally as being comparable to a Ph.D. |

| Normally for two years, but subject to the University Authority’s yearly performance evaluation, it may be extended for an additional year. The chosen applicant must provide an assurance stating that they will not seek regularization of the employment because the position has a limited term. |
| Duties and Responsibilities |

| Chair Professor duties and responsibilities include carrying out all academic, research, and administrative tasks as determined by Utkal University after consulting with RBI. Among other things, duties and responsibilities will include: Academic and Research Functions: a. To conduct excellent research in the designated thrust areas, with a particular emphasis on “Institutional Finance” and related topics that enhance ongoing initiatives and have an impact. b. To conduct policy research with the specific goal of providing policymakers with useful new options. c. To publish excellent research results in international peer-reviewed academic journals and other suitable venues as books, monographs, working papers, articles, and reviews. d. To participate in teaching (PG, M.Phil.) and take part in Ph.D. Program. e. To contribute to the vibrancy of the research culture of the University. |
