Eligibility Criteria- INCOIS Recruitment
Scientific Assistant (Direct Recruitment)
This INCOIS Scientific Assistant Recruitment targets candidates with specific technical backgrounds:
- Post Code 01 (ST): B.Sc. in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or Electronics, or a 3-year Diploma in Computer Engineering/Electronics.
- Post Code 02 (UR): First-class B.Sc. (60%) in Physics, Chemistry, Maths, Computer Science, or Electronics.
- Post Code 03 (UR): Bachelor’s in Library and Information Science following a first-class B.Sc. degree.
Scientist ‘C’ (Deputation)
The INCOIS Scientist recruitment for Post Code 04 and 05 requires specialized expertise:
- IT Specialist (Post Code 04): PG Degree (M.Sc/M.Tech/MCA) in Computer Science/IT/Data Science with 3 years of ERP experience (e.g., SAP).
- Ocean Sciences (Post Code 05): Master’s Degree (M.Sc/M.Tech) in Oceanography/Marine Sciences/Climate Sciences with 3 years of data analysis experience and 2 research publications.
Selection Process for INCOIS Recruitment
- Written Test: Candidates for the INCOIS Scientific Assistant Recruitment must undergo a 60-minute objective exam. The test includes Part-A (General Knowledge, Aptitude, English) and Part-B (Subject-specific).
- Interview: For the INCOIS Scientist recruitment, selection is based on an interview and the evaluation of past 5 years’ APARs.
