IISER Berhampur Recruitment 2025: Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Berhampur has issued notification on 30/05/2025 for the recruitment of Junior Research Fellow (JRF).

Applications are being accepted from qualified applicants for a temporary Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) at IISER Berhampur, for a project funded by Board of Research in Nuclear Sciences (BRNS). Tenure and Nature of Appointment
The position will be terminated at the end of the project and will only be temporary. The period of appointment is for a year at first and may be prolonged in accordance with the Pl’s performance, progress, and needs as well as the availability of funds.

Remuneration
The JRF will receive Rs.37,000/- + HRA if applicable (As per BRNS norms)
Educational Qualification
The candidate should have pursued M.Sc. in biology, chemistry, or a similar field with at least 60% of marks or a CGPA/CPI of 7.0 on a 10-point scale. (CGPA, CPI, and overall %; not only in the majoring topic). It is required to receive a score on any national exam. At the time of admission, the fellowship or certificate must still be valid.
Preference will be given to those who have already worked with chemical synthesis and/or the necessary biochemical tests.
Age Limit
Applicant’s age should not exceed more than 28 years at the time of joining. Policies for age relaxation and reservations will be implemented in accordance with guidelines established by the Indian government’s Ministry of Education.

Role of JRF

  1. Synthesis of context responsive nanoparticles
  2. Loading of therapeutic genes and bioanalytical characterization of the composite material
  3. Determination of efficacy of the nanocomposite in treating certain genetic disorder
