Eligibility Criteria
The institute is seeking highly qualified candidates with a background in Life Sciences or related technical fields.
- Essential Qualifications:
- Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Life Sciences, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or Biotechnology.
- OR Master’s degree (M.V.Sc, M.Pharma, M.E, or M.Tech in Life Sciences) with at least 3 years of research, teaching, or design and development experience.
- Candidates with a Master’s degree must have at least one research paper published in a Science Citation Indexed (SCI) Journal.
- Desirable Skills: Experience in Bioinformatics, molecular diagnosis, next-generation sequence analysis, and scientific report drafting.
- Age Limit: Maximum 40 years.
Salary and Benefits
- Emoluments: Rs. 58,000/- + HRA per month.
- Terms: The position is purely temporary and on a full-time basis. Selected candidates will not have a claim for regular employment at ICAR.

Essential Qualifications
- Postgraduate in Virology, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Bioinformatics, or Life Sciences.
- Candidates with a 3-year Bachelor’s and 2-year Master’s degree in Basic Sciences must have a NET qualification and 2 years of research experience.
Desirable Experience:
We are looking for candidates with working experience in:
- Genome editing and gene cloning.
- PCR.
- Bioinformatics, specifically NGS, transcriptomics data analyses, and AI/ML data analyses.
Age Limit:
- Maximum age is 35 years.
- Age relaxation is applicable as per Govt. of India/ICAR rules for SC/ST, Women, OBC, and PwBD/PH candidates.
