After earning the degree, one must have a current, valid medical registration and register any additional qualifications with the State Council of Medical Registration. OCMR requires verification of online application and a NoC from the relevant state council for those who are registered with other state councils. v. Must have graduated from an NMC-designated institution with a basic medical education degree. vi. Must have completed a foundational course in biomedical research. |
Remuneration | Contractual professors are entitled to a monthly salary of Rs. 2,30,000. |

1. To participate in the walk-in interview, interested candidates must pre-register by completing the Google form found at the link provided in the schedule. Candidates will not be permitted to participate in walk-in interviews if they do not pre-register. a) The candidate’s age, research publications, and teaching experience will all be taken into consideration when creating the merit list, which will be the sole basis for selection.-
i. Experience as an assistant professor or associate professor from MCI, NMC, or approved or recognized institutions is worth five marks per year.
ii. Research articles are given five marks each; publications that adhere to NMC guidelines will be taken into account.
b) If there is a tie, the following shall be decided:
i. Candidates will be ranked higher than the younger ones in the event of a tie with the elderly.
c) The Selection Authority may, at its discretion, shortlist a fair number of candidates from the merit list based on the open position.

Merit lists created using career marks will be the sole basis for selection. The following will be the weighting for the various exams:
20% of the overall percentage of marks earned came from HSC/Matriculation.
20% of the grades earned are in Intermediate Science.
60% of the total percentage of marks obtained in the MBBS exam. (In the event that the applicant passed PG in 2016–2017 or later, MBBS–30% and PG–30%)

4. DMET Odisha Recruitment for Senior Residents (SR) & Tutors

Qualification | i. Regarding the tutoring position as defined by the NMC in the “Minimum Qualifications for Teachers in Medical Institutions Regulations, 2022,” which are periodically in effect. ii. The applicant cannot be employed as a tutor at any of the state’s government medical colleges. iii. A candidate will not be considered for re-engagement if their employment as a tutor has been terminated for any reason by any government medical college in the state. |

Candidates for the position of Senior Residents (non-academic) in Clinical Departments (Speciality) must hold an MD, MS, DNB, or MDS degree, or an equivalent degree in the relevant field, as required by the NMC in the “Minimum Qualifications for Teachers in Medical Institutions Regulations, 2022,” which are announced or modified periodically. ii. The applicant must not be enrolled in or have finished their three-year term as a senior resident at any of the state’s government medical colleges. iii. A candidate will not be eligible for re-engagement if their employment as a Senior Resident has been terminated by any state government medical college for any reason. |
