Guidelines for CTE Odisha Recruitment
1. Educational Qualification for Guest Faculty engaged in Govt Teacher Education Institutions
Professor position : Two-year M.Ed. with the necessary qualifications in accordance with NCTE guidelines
Associate Professor : (for two years of M.Ed./principal in two years of B.Ed.) with the necessary qualifications in accordance with NCTE standards
Assistant Professor : The chosen guest faculties must have passed the UGC’s National Eligibility Test (NET). Candidates who currently hold or have received a Ph.D. in education in line with the UGC (Minimum Standard and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulation 2009 are exempt from the NET requirement in order to be appointed as assistant professors or in positions similar to them in universities, colleges, or other institutions.
2. Remuneration
Professor position : Rs.50,000 per month
Associate Professor : Rs.40,000 per month
Assistant Professor : Rs.35,000 per month
Guest Faculty engaged (for B.Ed. classes) : Rs.500 per class subject to a maximum ceiling of Rs.25,000/-
3. Age limit
The maximum age limit is 75 years.
Selection procedure for CTE Odisha Recruitment
The responsible principal will choose the guest faculty or contractual basis (GFC) based on a committee’s suggestion. The principal of the relevant institution will form the Selection Committee. Members of the committee will choose GFC.
The following will be the composition of such a committee for each subject: – 1. The college’s principal will serve as the committee’s chairman; 2. a senior faculty member; 3. a senior faculty member from another college topic selected by the principal; 4. a college subject expert nominated by the principal.
Selections will be based on viva-voce tests and career marks. The following is the suggested weight allocation for the career assessment:
Career and Teaching Experience: 70 marks’
Viva-voce 30: marks
