Eligibility Criteria for CSIR-CIMFR Technician Recruitment
1. Educational & Technical Qualifications required for CSIR-CIMFR Technician Recruitment
To apply for any trade, the applicant must meet the baseline educational criteria along with one of the specified technical options:
- Basic Education: Passed SSC / 10th Standard or equivalent with Science subjects, securing a minimum of 55% marks.
AND any one of the following technical qualifications:
- Option A: A valid ITI Certificate or National/State Trade Certificate in the relevant trade from a recognized institution.
- Option B: 2 years of full-time experience as an apprentice trainee in the relevant trade from a recognized institution.
- Option C: 3 years of regular work experience in the relevant trade within a Ministry, Department, Organization, Public Sector Undertaking (PSU), or Autonomous Body under the Government of India, State Government, or Union Territory.
2. Age Limit for CSIR-CIMFR Technician Recruitment
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 28 years (for Unreserved candidates)
Age Relaxation Concessions:
Upper age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories as per Government of India guidelines:

Selection Procedure for CSIR-CIMFR Technician Recruitment
The recruitment process will consist of a screening stage followed by a two-tier evaluation:
- Screening & Shortlisting: A screening committee will review applications and documents to shortlist candidates based on their own criteria.
- Trade Test: Shortlisted candidates will be invited to a practical Trade Test. This test is qualifying in nature.
- Competitive Written Examination: Candidates who qualify the Trade Test will appear for a competitive written exam consisting of three papers (Paper-I, Paper-II, and Paper-III). The final merit list will be prepared solely based on the marks secured in the written exam.
