Eligibility & Terms- Panchayat Samiti Keonjhar Recruitment 2025

Essential Criteria

• Residency: Candidate must be a permanent resident of the concerned GP.
• Education: Must be a graduate (+3) in any discipline.
• Age: Must be between 21 to 35 years as on 01.09.2025.
• Character/Legal Status: Should not be involved in any criminal case, have any case pending, or be convicted in any Court of law. Must bear good moral character.

Conditions of Service

• Employment Restriction: If engaged, the candidate should not serve under any Govt. undertaking or Private sector simultaneously with this engagement¹⁵.
• Duties: The JS shall perform all the PDS & other PDS related work exclusively as per the direction of the PEO/Sarapanch of GP and other higher authority¹⁶.
• Control/Payment: Works under the administrative control of the concerned GP and gets the monthly honorarium from the GP out of the dealer commission/sale of empty gunny bags¹⁷.
• Termination: Engagement may be terminated at any time without assigning any reason¹⁸. Termination will be automatic if the GP resigns from the PDS business or its license is suspended/cancelled¹⁹.

Selection Process for Panchayat Samiti Keonjhar Recruitment

• Basis of Selection: Based on career marking with the following weightage:
  • Matriculation: 30%
  • +2: 30%
  • +3: 40%
• Selection Committee: A Committee under the chairmanship of BDO with MI/IS as convener and concerned Sarapanch of GP as member will carry out the selection.
• Appointment: The committee will propose a panel of 3 names to the Collector/Sub-Collector for approval. Upon approval, the panel will be provided to the concerned GP for the appointment of the 1st person (scoring highest marks).
