IMMT Bhubaneswar Recruitment 2025: In order to hire competent retired government personnel as consultants on a short-term contract basis, the official notification for IMMT Bhubaneswar Recruitment 2025 was released on June 17, 2025. On June 24, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., walk-in interviews will be conducted by the Institute of Minerals & Materials Technology, Bhubaneswar, on behalf of the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR).

RemunerationAccording to Department of Expenditure OM dated 09/12/2020, retired personnel would get a fixed salary at (Last Basic Pay drawn – Basic Pension).
TenureFor six months at first. If the candidate performs satisfactorily and there is a functional necessity, the Competent Authority may decide to extend the engagement time for an additional six months. However, a retired employee will only be able to work until they are 65 years old.
Leavein accordance with the Department of Expenditure’s OM of 09/12/2020 or any later directives issued on the topic from time to time.

Working Hour : Retired staff members must adhere to regular office hours, which are 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM. In the event of an emergency, they may also be asked to work past office hours, on Saturdays, Sundays, or other holidays. No further compensation will be given for overtime or holidays.

Attendance: Depending on the posting location, the chosen candidate will report to the Director or CoA and record their attendance in the Attendance Register either required or via another appropriate method; if they don’t, their pay may be withheld.

Duties: Administrative tasks pertaining to the hiring and evaluation of scientists, technical, and administrative staff DPC that call for familiarity with rules and regulations, as well as any additional tasks that the competent authority may occasionally assign.

General Instruction for candidates relating to IMMT Bhubaneswar Recruitment for Consultant

(1) During the walk-in interview, candidates must complete and submit the application form found in Annexure-I. It is recommended that candidates verify their eligibility according to the advertisement and suitability for the scope of work listed against each post code before completing the application form in the prescribed format.
(2) It is recommended that candidates arrive at the location at 10:00 AM on June 24, 2025, for the walk-in interview process. Candidates will not be considered if they arrive after 10:00 AM.


(3) It is recommended that candidates plan their travel and accommodations appropriately. CSIR will not offer any support in this area. (4) For administrative reasons, the selection process’s location, date, and time may alter. If so, the CSIR-IMMT website will notify users of this. For the most recent information, candidates are encouraged to frequently visit the CSIR website.

(5) At the time of the selection process, candidates must bring the original copies of all of their certifications of schooling and testimonies. (7) It is recommended that all candidates provide their Service Cum Experience Certificate.
(8) The above-mentioned number of retired personnel to serve as consultants is tentative and subject to change at the time of selection.


(9) The Director of CSIR-IMMT will have the final say on all issues pertaining to eligibility, application acceptance or rejection, selection process, and whether to fill the position. No one or their agency will be allowed to submit an interim inquiry or correspondence in this regard.

Selection procedure for IMMT Bhubaneswar Recruitment for Consultant

(a) Eligible candidates will be interviewed in-person by CSIR-IMMT through a screening-cum-selection committee.
(b) No correspondence about the screening and selection of candidates will be accepted; the competent authority’s decision is final.
(c) Preference shall be given to retired CSIR staff.
