Qualification & Experience

1. Animal Husbandry Expert: Candidate should have Master’s degree in Veterinary Sciences/ Animal Sciences.
Experience: i. At least five years of hands-on experience implementing animal production and health projects at the grassroots level.
ii. Expertise in creating quantifiable M&E indicators and putting capacity development programs and tools into action.
iii. Successful experience working on important value chain development and animal breeding, particularly for native livestock breeds.
iv. Experience working with international non-governmental organizations, the government sector, donor organizations, and donor-funded initiatives
Desirable: Proficiency in vernacular languages and/or Odia
2. Rural Livelihood & Community Institution Expert: Master’s degree in Social Sciences/ Rural Sociology/ Organizational Development/ Social Anthropology/ Rural Development/ Agriculture &
Allied Sciences.
Experience: i. At least seven years of relevant experience working on development initiatives for social and environmental protection.
ii. Proven ability to provide tools for community capacity building and provide training on how to create new livelihood options in agriculture, forestry, livestock, fisheries, and other relevant fields.
iii. Knowledge in establishing, advancing, and mainstreaming community organizations, including SHGs, CIGs, FPOs, Producer Companies, and Cooperatives; familiarity with executing livelihood initiatives with nearby communities.
iv. Experience working with international non-governmental organizations, the government sector, donor organizations, and donor-funded initiatives
Desirable: Proficiency in vernacular languages and/or Odia
3. Marketing and linkage expert: Master’s degree or equivalent in Business/ Marketing. Graduation in Agriculture and allied is desirable.
Experience: i. At least five years of expertise in agribusiness marketing.
ii. Work experience with private, FPO-based companies, non-governmental organizations (NGOs) engaged in marketing, educated startup entrepreneurs, etc.
iii. It will be advantageous to have prior experience working with grains and perishable commodities in an FMCG retail setting.
Desirable: Proficiency in vernacular languages and/or Odia
4. Accountant : Bachelor’s degree in Commerce
Experience: i. At least three years of post-qualification job experience in a finance or accounting role are prerequisites.
ii. Proficiency in budgeting, financial planning, and project and scheme control
familiarity with MS Office software for documentation and presentations
iii. Experience working with international non-governmental organizations, donor organizations, government agencies, and donor-funded initiatives

Remuneration
1. Animal Husbandry Expert: Consolidate amount of Rs.55,000 per month. 2. Rural Livelihood & Community Institution Expert: Consolidate amount of Rs.40,000 per month. 3. Marketing and linkage expert: Consolidate amount of Rs.40,000 per month. 4. Accountant: Consolidate amount of Rs.20,000 per month.

Two parts are used to carry out the project. While the second component will showcase replicable “Improved agricultural and conservation practices,” the first component will fortify the institutional structures and enabling framework to mainstream biodiversity (BD), sustainable land management (SLM), climate change mitigation (CCM), and sustainable forest management (SFM) policies, priorities, and practices into India’s agricultural sector.
Global conservation goals are expected to be fully mainstreamed within the production landscape of the project sites in policy and practice, and the initiative will offer an empirical foundation for revolutionary policy change throughout India’s agricultural environment.

Recruitment Procedure for Animal Husbandry jobs in Odisha 2025 under GLIU Baripada:

At the time of the walk-in interview, a preliminary screening will be conducted by comparing the résumé and original certificates, along with Xerox copies, to the minimum qualifying requirements for the positions in question. Only the candidate who passes the MEC will be permitted to attend the in-person interview. Additionally, if there are many qualified applicants for the interviews, the interview procedure can be postponed till the next day.
The candidates must include self-attested photocopies of their experience and academic credentials, as well as the information in the application form that highlights the experience and education needed for the role. A valid form of identification, such as an Aadhaar card, voter ID, residency certificate, etc., must also be presented by the candidate at the walk-in interview.
Out of 100 marks, the final selection will be made based on the scores from the personal interview, work experience, and qualification certificates. The applicant with the highest score will be chosen based on the total number of marks received.
In the event that the top-scoring candidate is unavailable or a position becomes available within the year, a rank list of 1:3 against each post will be created based on the score. This list will be valid for a year.
