The Engineer-In-Chief (Electricity)-cum-Principal Chief Electrical Inspector, Odisha is inviting applications from qualified candidates for the recruitment of Design Expert & EV Consultant on contractual basis initially up to 31 March 2026. Qualification & Experience

1. Design Expert Consultant: Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering.
Experience: 10 years of distribution network work experience as of May 1, 2025. The candidate needs to be proficient in project planning, electrical distribution design, and project execution up to 33KV.
2. EV Consultant: Bachelor’s degree in electrical or electronic engineering in a similar field
Experience: six years or more of job experience.
Three years or more of expertise with electric vehicles and charging infrastructure
At least one year of experience assisting the federal or state governments with initiatives pertaining to urban planning, transportation, and electric mobility.

Age limit
The applicant’s maximum age, as of June 1, 2025, cannot exceed 65.

Selection Process for Electrical Engineering jobs in Odisha for Design Expert & EV Consultant post:

Applications that are submitted prior to the deadline will be examined. The shortlisted applicants will be invited to the interview process following review. EIC retains the right to reject or shortlist any applicant without providing a justification.
A selection committee appointed by the EIC will perform the physical interview. The shortlisted candidates will receive an email seven days before their scheduled Bhubaneswar interview. The candidature will be automatically canceled if the candidate does not show up for the interview or does not provide the necessary documentation for verification. The committee will choose and suggest the most qualified applicants for the positions when the interview is over. The chosen candidate must start working within 15 days of the appointment order being issued.
