IMA Bhubaneswar Vacancy Details

Eligibility Criteria

1. असिस्टेंट प्रोफेसर (Assistant Professor – Mathematics):

• Educational Qualification:
  • Master’s degree (50% marks for SC/ST/PwD candidates) with at least 55% marks in the respective subject (Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Science).
  • NET/SLET/SET examination conducted by UGC or CSIR is mandatory.
  • Exemption: PhD degree holder candidates (as per UGC Rules 2009/2016) will be exempted from NET/SLET/SET
• Alternative Qualification: PhD degree from a foreign university involved in the top 500 in the World University Ranking (QS/ THE/ARWU)

2. पोस्ट डॉक्टोरल फेलो (Post Doctoral Fellow – PDF):

• Age Limit: Candidates under the age of 35 years.
• Qualification: PhD degree holder or equivalent published research work in Mathematics. Candidates who have made their PhD thesis deposit (submit) can also apply

Salary Details

1. पोस्ट डॉक्टोरल फेलो (PDF):

• Fellowship amount:
  • First Year: Rs.58,000/- per month
  • Second Year: ₹61,000/- per month
  • Third year (if extended): ₹67,000/- per month
• Contingency Grant: ₹40,000/- per annum.
• Other allowances: Rs.2,000/- per month reader allowance for House Rent Allowance (HRA) and Blind candidates as per the rules of the Government of Odisha

2. असिस्टेंट प्रोफेसर (Assistant Professor):

• Scale of Pay will be payable as per rules

Selection Process for IMA Bhubaneswar Recruitment 2026

• Assistant Professor: Shortlisted candidates will be called for Interview (Interview) based on Academic Score (Appendix II, Table 3B). The final selection will be based only on performance in the interview.
• Post Doctoral Fellow (PDF): The proposed research project (Research Project) will be selected based on presentation and interview
