Teacher Recruitment under Collector Balangir 2026: OFFICE OF THE COLLECTOR & DISTRICT MAGISTRATE BALANGIR (ST & SC DEVELOPMENT SECTION invites applications from eligible candidates for hiring of subject teachers (Mathematics, Science and English) for 8th, 9th & 10th students of Anwesha Hostels of Balangir District through walk-in-interview. (ଜିଲ୍ଲାପାଳ ଓ ଜିଲ୍ଲା ମାଜିଷ୍ଟ୍ରେଟଙ୍କ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟାଳୟ, ବଲାଙ୍ଗୀର (ଅନୁସୂଚିତ ଜାତି ଓ ଜନଜାତି ଉନ୍ନୟନ ବିଭାଗ) ତରଫରୁ ବଲାଙ୍ଗୀର ଜିଲ୍ଲାର ଅନ୍ୱେଷା ହଷ୍ଟେଲଗୁଡ଼ିକର ୮ମ, ୯ମ ଏବଂ ୧୦ମ ଶ୍ରେଣୀର ଛାତ୍ରଛାତ୍ରୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ପଢ଼ାଇବା ପାଇଁ ବିଷୟଭିତ୍ତିକ ଶିକ୍ଷକ (ଗଣିତ, ବିଜ୍ଞାନ ଏବଂ ଇଂରାଜୀ) ନିଯୁକ୍ତି ନିମନ୍ତେ ୱାକ୍-ଇନ୍-ଇଣ୍ଟରଭ୍ୟୁ (Walk-in-Interview) ମାଧ୍ୟମରେ ଯୋଗ୍ୟ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥୀଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଆବେଦନପତ୍ର ଆହ୍ୱାନ କରାଯାଉଛି।)

Vacancy Details (ଶୂନ୍ୟପଦ ବିବରଣୀ)

The post of Subject Teacher may increase or decrease according to sanction strength of Anwesha Boarders.

Eligibility Criteria (ଯୋଗ୍ୟତା ମାପଦଣ୍ଡ)

1. General & Educational eligibility:

• a. The candidate should be a Graduate – BA/BSc with minimum 50% marks in aggregate with B.Ed.
• b. The Candidate should have passed BSc/BA with Honors in specific subject (For Example, in Science – Honors in Chemistry/Physics/Botany/Zoology is required).
• c. The Candidate should have minimum 2 years of experience of teaching English Medium Students.
• d. Preference will be given to the women teachers in girls hostel only.

Age Limit:

• Maximum age for Subject Teacher at the time of engagement shall be 26 to 45.

Salary Details (ଦରମା ବିବରଣୀ)

• Honorarium: A Subject teacher will be paid Rs. 10,000/- in a month.

Job location (କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ ସ୍ଥାନ)

• Location: Selected candidates will be assigned to Anwesha Hostels located at Patharchepa (Balangir), Gangasagar (Patnagarh), Titilagarh, or Hial (Kantabanji) in Balangir District, Odisha.

ଚୟନ ପ୍ରକ୍ରିୟା (Selection Process)

The District Level Selection Committee shall select the candidates with reference to the eligibility criteria and as per the following norms:

• a. The application process has to close two days in advance and candidates cannot attend without prior application.
• b. 50% career weightage (50 marks): 1st div – 50 marks; 2nd div with minimum 50% marks – 30 marks at Graduation Level.
• c. 30% teaching experience (30 marks): 1 year – 10 marks; 2nd year – 20 marks; 3rd year and above – 30 marks.
  • Note: Ten (10) months of teaching experience should be treated as a year and 10 marks will be awarded for each year of experience with maximum limitation of 30 marks. Candidates having more than 3 years of experience will be limited to 30 marks.
• d. 20% interview (20 marks)

Total Weightage: 100 marks

If the total marks scored by two or more candidates in computation of marks by selection committee gets equal, candidate scoring higher percentage of marks in B.Ed should get preference.

The selection committee shall prepare a panel of candidates securing 50 or above marks in the selection process for engaging them as and when required, when a subject teacher is disengaged or he/she quits the assignment. The empanelled list will be valid for one (1) year from the date of approval.

ଆବେଦନ କରିବାର ପ୍ରଣାଳୀ (How to Apply)

1. The interested candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria may submit the filled-in application form as enclosed in prescribed format in Annexure-A along with the Xerox copies of required documents either by post or by hand or through courier service.
2. The envelope containing the filled-in application form and required documents should be super scribed with “Application for the Post of Subject Teacher for Anwesha Hostel”.

ଗୁରୁତ୍ୱପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣତାରିଖ (Important Dates)

• Last Date of Receiving Application: On or before dt. 10.09.2026
• Date of Walk-in-Interview: dt. 18.09.2026
• Interview Venue & Date Intimation: Will be intimated through e-mail or WhatsApp of the applicants.

ଆବଶ୍ୟକୀୟ ଦଲିଲପତ୍ର (Required Documents)

Candidates are required to attach the following documents along with the application form:

1. One recent passport size color photograph duly pasted at the designated space.
2. Self-attested photocopy of Identity Proof (Voter ID card / PAN Card / Driving License / Passport).
3. Self-Attested Xerox copies of Certificate showing Academic Qualification with mark sheets along with Matric Certificate (Both Side).
4. Self-Attested recent passport size colour photograph to be affixed in the Application Form.
5. Experience certificate in respect of teaching English Medium Students.

Note: No TA, DA will be allowed at the time of verification of original certificates.

ଗୁରୁତ୍ୱପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦେଶାବଳୀ (Important instructions)

• Duties and Responsibilities of Subject Teachers:
  • Teaching of concerned subject as per syllabus of CBSE/ICSE board.
  • Timely correction of class and home assignments, test papers, projects etc.
  • Setting of question papers for various tests and exams.
  • Preparation of lesson plans and maintaining academic record of students.
  • Preparing students for curricular/co-curricular activities etc.
  • Performing invigilation duty/evaluation work as and when assigned.
  • Any other work as to be assigned by the District authority/SSD Department.
• Terms and Conditions:
  • Subject teachers engaged would have no claim or right for appointment on a regular basis nor will they be a part of the cadre of teachers of SSD Dept.
  • Working hours shall be of 3-4 hours.
  • The engagement of these Subject teachers will automatically come to an end once the contractual period is over.
  • An assessment of the performance of the Subject teacher hired may be done by the selection committee on a regular basis and also an annual appraisal at the end of the academic year to allow further renewal.
  • A Subject Teacher unauthorizedly remaining absent and not taking classes for a continuous period of 15 days or more deemed to be terminated and he/she shall never be entertained further.
  • The undersigned reserves the right to cancel any or all the applications without assigning any reason or communication thereof.
