Recruitment of Teachers at EMRS Kirmira Jharsuguda: Ekalavaya Model Residential School(EMRS) Kirmira has released the notification for the recruitment of guest teachers through walk-in-interview on 19/04/2025.

PGT- Mathematics, English, Physics, Chemistry, Odia
Qualification:
(i) a B.Ed. and a postgraduate degree in the relevant field from any accredited university or institute. (A B.Ed. is not necessary for a four-year integrated degree.)
ii) At least 50% in the relevant subject
iii) The ability to teach both Hindi and English.
iv) Desired: Knowledge of computers.
TGT- Social Science
Qualification:
i) History with Geography/ Economics/ Political Science OR
Geography with History/ Economics/ Political Science (in other
words candidates should have studied any two subjects out of
History, Geography, Economics and Political Science, in which one
must be either History or Geography)
ii) A minimum of 50% aggregate marks is required.
iii) A Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree is mandatory. However, this requirement is waived for candidates with a four-year integrated teaching degree.
iv) The candidate must have qualified CTET or OTET.
v) Must be proficient in teaching in both Hindi and English mediums.
vi) Desirable: Basic computer literacy or working knowledge of computers.
TGT Science
Qualification:
i) The candidate must have studied Botany, Zoology, and Chemistry throughout all three years of graduation.
If the university followed a system where only two subjects are offered in the final year, the candidate must have studied any two among Botany, Zoology, and Chemistry in the final year, and all three subjects—Botany, Zoology, and Chemistry—during the first and second years.
ii) A minimum of 50% aggregate marks is required.
iii) A Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree is essential, unless the candidate has completed a four-year integrated degree program, in which case B.Ed. is not necessary.
iv) The candidate must have qualified CTET or OTET.
v) Should be proficient in teaching in both Hindi and English mediums
TGT- Odia
Qualification:
i) The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree in the relevant subject (Odia) and must have studied Odia in all three years of their degree program.
ii) A minimum of 50% aggregate marks is required.
iii) Possession of a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree is mandatory, except for those who have completed a four-year integrated degree, in which case B.Ed. is not needed.
iv) The candidate must have qualified either CTET or OTET.
v) Desirable: Basic computer skills or working knowledge of computers.
Physical Education Teacher [Male]
Qualification:
i) The candidate must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education from a recognized university or institution.
ii) A minimum of 50% aggregate marks is required.
iii) Desirable: Basic computer proficiency or working knowledge of computers
Music Teacher
Qualification:
i) The candidate should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Music from a recognized university or institute.
ii) A minimum of 50% aggregate marks is required.
iii) Desirable: Proficiency in basic computer operations or working knowledge of computers.

Terms & Conditions for Guest Teaching Positions:

All guest teachers and staff appointed through the prescribed selection process will be subject to the terms and conditions laid down by NESTS/OMTES, as communicated through official correspondence from time to time.

Candidates are advised to thoroughly review the following points and should attend the interview only if they agree to comply with the stated terms and conditions.

  1. The committee reserves the right to modify the number of advertised vacancies, either by increasing or decreasing them.
  2. The committee also holds the authority to select exceptionally talented candidates, even if they do not fully meet the standard selection criteria.
  3. Guest teachers will be paid on a per-period basis — ₹320 per period for PGTs and ₹300 per period for TGTs.
  4. Retired government teachers will receive a monthly remuneration as per the “Guidelines for Engaging Guest Teachers.”
  5. Guest teachers shall have no entitlement to claim
  6. The selected candidate will be appointed for the academic session 2025–26 only. However, the engagement may be discontinued if regular staff is recruited by NESTS/OMTES.
  7. The services of the guest teacher or staff may be terminated at any time without providing any specific reason.
  8. The age of applicants must be between 21 and 60 years as of the date of the interview.
  9. Retired teachers may be engaged up to the age of 65, subject to being medically fit to work in a residential environment.
  10. Any form of leave will be treated as absence and will be considered as leave without pay.
  11. If a guest teacher is absent without authorization for 10 consecutive days, their engagement will be automatically terminated.
