The detailed requirements for Vacancy of Advocate at Bonai Forest Division Sundargarh:

  1. Candidates with prior experience as Public Prosecutors (PP), Additional Public Prosecutors (APP), or Advocates with a minimum of 15 years of practice registered under a State Bar Council are eligible.
  2. The employment is purely temporary and can be terminated at any time by the appointing authority due to unsatisfactory performance of any of the re-employed employee or till the posts are filled up by regular candidates. Conversely, if a re-employed employee wishes to resign, he/she must submit a written notice of one month to the competent authority.
  3. Preference shall be given to the APP/PP or Advocate having experience to deal with 2(b)C.C. Cases.
  4. The employee’s performance would be reviewed regularly and documented at least once every quarter.
  5. The employee should obey the Govt. puidelines /rules and work assigned by the head of the office.
  6. A short summary of previous experience must also be submitted along with the application.
  7. Applicant will submit the undertaking that they will be able to join their place of work within 7 days of issue of letter of acceptance.
  8. Interested candidates are requested to appear for the interview on the specified date and time. They must bring with them: (1) a Government of India-issued photo ID, (2) the duly filled application form provided herewith, (3) all original relevant documents, and (4) a set of photocopies of those documents.

Roles and Responsibilities of APP/ PP/ Advocate :

  1. The concerned person should have ample knowledge regarding forest offence activities like poaching, wildlife crime, illegal logging, encroachment and smuggling of forest produce.
  2. The concerned person should have strong understanding of forest laws, wildlife protection acts and legal frameworks.
  3. The designated individual should establish trust and rapport with local communities to encourage collaboration in forest conservation and the reporting of crimes.
  4. The concerned person shall be responsible for collection of all document and case records to assist the public prosecutor in the preparation and successfully conducting the case in the court.
  5. The concerned individual will carry out field investigations whenever instructed by the Divisional Forest Officer, Bonai Division.

  7. On receipt of prosecution reports, she/he shall go through the case records in order to find out if there are defects in the investigation and shall get them remedied before handling over the case records to public prosecutor for preparation of the brief on the ease. Any defects pointed out by the public prosecutor shall in conclusion with the Divisional Forest Officer, Bonai Division be remedied by him and any additional information required shall be supplied by him to the public prosecutor.
  8. She/he shall ensure that the cases are properly posted for hearing and shall keep a watch on the day-to-day progress of the case,
  9. It shall be the responsibility of the concerned person to assist in the proper marshalling of witnesses during the process of the case in the court.
  10. She/he shall maintain a separate register for each range, detailing the receipt, progress, disposal, and outcome of each case entrusted to them, which shall be produced for verification when so required by Divisional Forest Officer, Bonai Division.
