Experience
The candidate must have worked in finance, business development, production, operations, marketing, or project management for at least five of the previous ten years at a sizable, well-known company.
It is preferred to have prior experience in the chemical and fertilizer industries.

Status of employment:

The candidate must be working regularly, not on a contract or as-needed basis, in one of the following positions on the day of application and the interview:-

(a) Central Public Sector Enterprise, whose board comprises a functional director who works full-time;

(b) Central Government Group ‘A’ officers

(c) State Public Sector Enterprise having an annual turnover of *Rs. 5,000 crore or more; and

(d) Private Sector companies having an annual turnover of *Rs. 5,000 crore or more than that.
Candidates from listed companies will be given preference.

Tenure of appointment:

The appointment will last for five years from the date of joining, until the employee’s superannuation date, or until additional directives are issued, whichever comes first.

Undertaking by the applicants:

As part of the application, a candidate must promise that, should they be chosen, they will take the position. The application will be denied if the applicant fails to provide such an undertaking.
(a) The appointment is scheduled according to need.
(b) A candidate will not be eligible to apply for a Board-level position in any CPSE for two years following the interview date if they express an unwillingness to join after the interview.

(c) Additionally, a candidate will not be eligible to apply for a Board level position in any CPSE for two years following the offer of appointment if they express their unwillingness to join after that date.

2. For CPSE candidates

(a) A candidate will not be considered for a Board-level position in any CPSE other than the one to which they belong for two years following the interview date if they express their unwillingness to join after the interview.
(b) Furthermore, if a candidate indicates that they are unwilling to join, they will not be eligible to be considered for a Board level position in any CPSE other than the one to which they belong for two years following the offer of appointment.

3. For candidates from SPSE/ Private Sector

(a) A candidate will not be considered for a Board-level position in any CPSE for two years following the interview date if they express their unwillingness to join after the interview.
(b) Additionally, a candidate will not be eligible to be considered for a Board level position in any CPSE for two years following the offer of appointment if they express their unwillingness to join after that date.

4. No requests for relaxation or anything else would be considered in the aforementioned situations

Important dates:

Last date for submission of applications by the applicants is by 03:00 PM on 13.05.2025.

Last date for nodal officers to forward applications to PESB is by 05:00 PM on 22.05.2025
