Official notification has been released on 30/04/2025 for filling up the vacancy at Govt Teacher Training College Phulbani for the post of Guest Faculty through Walk-in-interview.
Brief about Govt Teacher Training College Phulbani: The Government of Odisha, School and Mass Education Department, announced the establishment of a B.Ed. college, Government Teachers’ Training College, (GTTC) Phulbani, for the 2008–09 academic year. This is part of the Special Package announced by the Honorable Chief Minister of Odisha, Sri Naveen Pattnaik, for the Kandhamal District. With a capacity of 100 trainees and four teaching staff,a principal, an instructor, and a clerical staff GTTC’s operations got underway on August 4, 2008. The college has been operating in its newly built facility across from Panchayat Bhawan in Phulbani since July 1, 2013. On August 6, 2008, the NCTE recognized the college.
Govt Teacher Training College Phulbani is going to conduct walk-in-interview for the engagement of guest faculty on contractual basis which is to be held on 02.05.2025 at 10.00 at the college campus. GUIDELINES FOR ENGAGEMENT OF GUEST FACULTY ON CONTRACUAL BASIS IN GOVERNMENT TEACHER EDUCATION INSTITUTION
Higher Education Department. The state’s teacher education institutions are held to the highest standards by the Odisha government. However, according to NCTE, many universities are currently experiencing a lack of teaching faculty. Guidelines for filling such positions have been created in order to overcome this difficulty. This program seeks to address the faculty shortage in a short-term but efficient manner, allowing teacher education institutes to continue offering higher-quality instruction and improved learning opportunities to students.
Selection process:
On the proposal of a committee, the concerned principal will select the Guest Faculty on Contractual Basis (GFC). The Selection Committee will be composed of the principal of the relevant institution. The committee will be in charge of selecting GFC.
Carcer Assessment of GFC
According to the eligibility requirements According to NCTE guidelines, viva-voce testing and career marks will be used for selection. The career assessment’s weighting distribution The following is recommended:
Career and Teaching experience = 70 marks
Viva-voce = 30 marks
Total= 100 marks
