The Office of the Collector & District Magistrate, Balangir (ST & SC Development Section) has released a notice for the engagement of Guest Teachers through a walk-in-interview. Applications are invited from eligible candidates for posts in SSD Department schools of Balangir District.

Applications are for guest teachers in Govt. (SSD) High Schools/Girls High Schools and Ashram Schools/Sevashrams.

1. High School/Girls High School Vacancies (Block-wise)

2. Ashram School/Sevashram Vacancy

• The vacancy for primary teachers in the Ashram and Sevashram Schools is 33.

Note: The total number of vacancies is subject to increase or decrease as per requirement.

Eligibility Criteria for Teacher Vacancy under Balangir District Collector

1. General & Educational Qualifications

• For Class I to VII: Plus Two (+2) Arts/Science with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate, along with CT/DIET.
• For Class VIII to X: BA/B.Sc. with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate, along with B.Ed..

2. Age Limit

• Maximum age for a Guest Teacher at the time of engagement shall be Sixty-Two (62).
• A retired teacher engaged as a Guest Teacher shall be disengaged upon attaining the age of Sixty-Five (65).
• Maximum age for Guest Faculty at the time of application shall be Sixty Two (62).

3. Preference

• Preference will be given to retired teachers and candidates with teaching experience.

Remuneration details for Teacher Vacancy under Balangir District Collector

The guest teacher shall take a maximum of forty (40) classes in a month.

Application Process for Teacher Vacancy under Balangir District Collector

1. Candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria must submit the filled-in application form (Annexure-A, enclosed in the notice).
2. The application must be accompanied by Xerox copies of required documents.
3. The envelope should be super-scribed with “Application for the Post Guest Teacher”.
4. The application can be submitted by post, by hand, or through courier service.
5. Address for Submission: District Welfare Office (DWO), Balangir, Dist-Balangir, Odisha, 767001.
6. The application must reach the office of the undersigned on or before 15.11.2025. Applications received after the deadline will not be considered.

Required Documents (Self-Attested Xerox Copies)

• One recent passport-size colour photograph (affixed at the designed space with self-signature).
• Identity proof (Voter-ID card/PAN card/ Driving License/ Aadhar card/ Passport).
• Certificate showing Academic Qualification with mark sheets, along with Matric Certificate (Both Side).
• NCTE/ERC approved certificate (for B.Ed. passed from outside Odisha).
• Ex-Serviceman certificate (if applicable).
• Experience certificate.

Selection Procedure for Teacher Vacancy under Balangir District Collector

The District Level Selection Committee shall select candidates based on the following criteria out of a total of 100 marks:
