The recruitment is for 15 positions across various Functions/Departments. The required number of advisors, the grade at the time of separation, and the minimum experience/qualification for each post are summarized below:

Eligibility and Service Conditions- SAIL IISCO Steel Plant Recruitment 2025
General Eligibility Criteria
- Age Limit: The upper age limit for contractual engagement is 65 years.
- Performance: The candidate should not have received a ‘C’ grading during the last three (3) years of service with SAIL before superannuation.
- Separation Type: Executives separated due to Resignation, Voluntary Retirement, Premature Retirement, Medical Invalidation, or as a consequence of Vigilance/Disciplinary action are not eligible.
- Service Record: Must have a good service record without any on-going disciplinary/vigilance proceedings.
Tenure and Extension
- Initial Tenure: Six (6) months.
- Extension: May be extended for a further six (6) months, and subsequent extensions of one (1) year may be considered with approval.
- Cooling Off: Ex-Advisors who have served the maximum permissible period can be re-engaged after a minimum One (1) month cooling off period.
- Termination: The engagement can be terminated by giving 15 days’ notice by either party. SAIL can terminate without prior notice for unsatisfactory performance or misconduct.
Remuneration and Benefits

Note: The rates are for 8 hours per working day and will be reduced pro-rata for fewer days worked. Reimbursement of GST, if applicable, is over and above the fee.
Other Benefits:
- Medical Benefits: Allowed as applicable/available to ex-employees of SAIL.
- Leave: No deduction will be made for absence up to nine (9) days for every six (6) months’ tenure (1.5 days per month), subject to prior intimation.
- Travel: Reimbursement of TA/DA for sanctioned official tours and air/train fare for joining and leaving upon expiry of tenure for outstation candidates.
- Accommodation: Outstation Advisors may use the ISP Guest House/Transit house.
