The Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology (RGIPT), set up by an Act of Parliament in 2008, invites online applications from Indian citizens for the following temporary/contractual non-teaching positions at its Jais Campus, Amethi, Uttar Pradesh.

1. Purchase Officer (01 Post – UR)

• Pay: ₹1,00,000/- per month (consolidated)
• Age Limit: Max. 65 years
• Qualification: Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university.
• Experience (Desirable): At least 20 years in purchase/procurement/stores/accounts within Govt. Depts./PSUs/Autonomous Bodies/Institutions of National Importance/Research Organizations.
• Additional Skills: Knowledge of GeM, GFR 2017, and e-procurement systems.
• Responsibilities: Procurement of goods/services, vendor evaluation, managing purchase records, coordinating with stores & accounts, and related tasks.

2. Public Relations Officer (01 Post – UR)

• Pay: ₹50,000/- per month (consolidated)
• Age Limit: Max. 60 years
• Qualification:
  • Master’s in Journalism & Mass Communication/Public Relations with at least 60% marks and 5 years’ relevant experience, OR
  • Master’s in English + PG Diploma in Journalism/Mass Communication/Public Relations (60% in both) with 5 years’ relevant experience.
• Desirable Skills: Strong communication in English, MS Office proficiency, content design (Canva/Adobe tools), social media management, media liaison, and prior work in Govt./universities.
• Responsibilities: Handling social media, digital content, event coordination, branding, stakeholder communication, media coverage, and internal newsletters.

3. Intellectual Property Officer (01 Post – UR)

• Pay: ₹30,000/- per month + outcome-based patent incentives
• Age Limit: Max. 65 years
• Qualification: Bachelor’s/Master’s in Law/Engineering/Sciences/Management (preferably with IP specialization).
• Experience: Minimum 5 years in patent searching, drafting, or prosecution.
• Desirable: Patent Agent registration, knowledge of Indian & international IP laws, and legal drafting expertise.
• Responsibilities: Patent searches, drafting & filing, handling copyright/design registrations, international/PCT filings, drafting IP agreements, and providing legal support for institutional research.

💡 Higher remuneration may be considered for exceptionally qualified or experienced candidates, at the discretion of the Selection Committee.

📌 General Conditions

• Contract Duration: Initially one year; may be extended depending on performance.
• Leave: 10 casual leaves annually (on pro-rata basis).
• Nature of Engagement: Purely contractual; no right to claim permanent employment.
• Selection Process: Shortlisted applicants will be invited for written test/interview/presentation. Final selection will be based on merit, performance, and experience.
• Other Instructions: Background verification will be mandatory. Engagement will be terminated immediately if false information is found. No TA/DA for appearing in test/interview.
