Eligibility Criteria
To apply for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Gender/Affiliation: Must be a woman and an active member of a Self-Help Group (SHG) for at least 2 years.
- Age: Between 18 and 45 years.
- Education: Minimum 10th Class (Matriculation) pass.
- Technical: Must own a personal smartphone and have a personal bank account with an ATM card.
- Exclusions: Must not be working in any other government scheme and must not have any criminal records or political affiliations.
- Security Deposit: Applicants must be willing to deposit ₹10,000 (Refundable) as a security deposit for the MPOS Machine.
Remuneration & Incentives
The government has structured the following incentives for Jalasathis:
- Commission on Collection: 5% of the total water tax collected monthly.
- New Connections: ₹100 for every new domestic water connection facilitated.
- Water Quality Testing: ₹20 per test (minimum 20 tests per month required).
- Initial Support: For the first 3 months, a fixed amount of ₹3,000 will be provided, plus an additional ₹1,000 per month for creating public awareness.
