Eligibility for Recruitment under District Collector Odisha /Cuttack
- She must be a permanent resident of Cuttack District and an Indian citizen.
- She must be healthy and of good character.
- Candidates with prior hostel experience will be given preference.
- Administration and practical expertise of the “eee Certificate of Nutrition/Music/Arts/Co-curricular Activities.”
- The candidate must be at least 30 years old on January 1, 2025.
- She needs to be able to read, write, and converse in Oriya.
- If she is married, she only has one living spouse. Women who are widowed, divorced, or unmarried will be given special consideration.
Nature and Tenure of appointment
The Lady Matron will be hired under a contract, and her employment will only be temporary for a year at a time, with the possibility of renewal at the end of that year if she performs satisfactorily.
Important information for the candidates
- Free boarding, accommodation, and medical services will be offered to boarders as needed.
- No regularization of service plan will be available to the Matron in this situation.
- When they become sixty, they will be released from their responsibilities.

- Self-disclosure about one surviving spouse.
- copies of any experience certificates that have been self-attested.
- AADHAR card copy that has been self-attested.
- A certificate proving that a woman is widowed, divorced, or unmarried.
- A current passport-sized color photo must be attached to the application form along with a self-signature.
Selection procedure for Recruitment under District Collector Odisha /Cuttack
- A candidate will be chosen based on their Plus 2 score, which will also take into account their desired qualifications and appropriate prior experience.
- Meritorious applicants from ST, SC, and SEBC shall be given preference in that order. If candidates are not available from the ST or SC categories, the STs will be given priority, followed by the SC and, if no candidates are available, the SEBC. “
- A widow will be chosen first, followed by a divorcee, and a single-member family woman will be chosen third.
- In a similar manner, candidates who meet the requirements and have experience from the same Revenue Village will be given preference during the selection process. If the first category is not available, candidates from the same Block will be given preference, followed by candidates from the same District who belong to ST, SC, and SEBC in order of preference. As previously mentioned, widows, divorcees, and single women (from single-member families) will be given preference when choosing the candidates for Lady Matron.

On or before 01.09.2025 by 5.30 PM, applications in the prescribed form and the necessary paperwork must be sent by registered or speed post exclusively to the District Welfare Officer, Collectorate Building, At/Po.-Chandini Chowk, District-Cuttack, PIN-753002. “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF LADY MATRON” should be superscripted on the envelope that contains the application.
