Brief about BJB Autonomous College: The Odisha government founded Buxi Jagabandhu Bidyadhar Autonomous College in Bhubaneswar in 1957. In 1974, a statue of the renowned independence hero Buxi Jagabandhu Bidyadhar Bhramarabara Ray Mahapatra was placed in front of the Administrative Block, and this college bears his name. The college was affiliated with Utkal University at Vani Vihar, Bhubaneswar, before moving to its current location in 1962. When UGC gave it autonomous status for the 1999–2000 academic year, turning it into an independent college, it achieved a major milestone in 1999 as it developed further. This coeducational HEI, which is regarded as one of the best in Odisha, was founded with the intention of offering top-notch education via intellectual, cultural, and physical pursuits.
