Essential Qualification
- Degree from a recognized university, and
- Diploma in Sports Coaching from Netaji Subhas National Institute of Sports (NSNIS), under Sports Authority of India, OR
- PG Diploma in Sports Coaching from Laxmibai National Institute of Physical Education (LNIPE), Gwalior
👉 Candidates will be considered only for the sports discipline in which they hold the above diploma.
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be an Indian citizen
- Age: 21–42 years as on 01.01.2025 (relaxations for SC/ST/SEBC/Women/Ex-Servicemen as per rules)
- Must be of good character, sound health, and good physique
- Must not have more than one spouse living (unless exempted by Govt.)
- Must have passed M.E. School Examination with Odia as a subject (or equivalent standard test conducted by the School & Mass Education Dept.)
- In-service candidates must submit NOC from employer

- Submit application in prescribed format (Annexure-I) on A4 size paper
- Send completed application with self-attested copies of required documents by Registered/Speed Post to:

- Certificates of educational qualifications & Odia language pass certificate

- Sports achievements certificates
- For Ex-Servicemen: Release Certificate + Affidavit confirming not employed in civil posts after retirement
Selection Procedure for Recruitment of Junior Coaches under Odisha Govt
- 80% – Marks in NSNIS Diploma / LNIPE PG Diploma
- 10% – Sports career achievements (as per Annexure-II scoring system)
- 10% – Personal interview
Conditions of Service
- Post: Junior Coach (Group-B)
- Pay Scale: Level-9, Cell-1 of ORSP Rules, 2017 (₹35,400 – ₹1,12,400) + allowances
- Probation: 2 years (extendable/terminable if performance unsatisfactory)
- Posting: Anywhere in Odisha as per requirement
