Brief about OHPC: The Energy Department of the Government of Odisha oversees the operations of Odisha Hydro Power Corporation Limited (OHPC Ltd.), a Gold-rated State Public Sector organization with ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001 certifications.2099.8 MW of installed capacity is being undertaken at six locations within the state and one interstate project.

Experience( For internal candidates) : At least 20 (twenty) years of post-qualification experience
at least 02 (two) years of experience in a senior level role (GM & above) in pertinent functional areas

On the day of the advertisement, the candidate must be receiving compensation in the range of Rs. 1,23,100 to Rs. 2,15,900 in level-15 of the ORSP Rules, 2017 or above.

An internal candidate should retire or take VRS from his position and accept a contractual appointment as Director (Projects) if they are chosen for the position.
Experience( For other candidates): At least 20 (twenty) years of post-qualification experience in relevant functional areas, with at least three (three) of those years spent in a senior level position (GM & above) in a reputable organization; OR the candidate must be earning between Rs. 1,23,100/- and Rs. 2,15,900/- in level-15 of ORSP Rules, 2017 or an equivalent revised scale of pay or higher pay of Central Govt. / CPSE / Other organization. Hydro-Power Sector experience is preferred.
Job description and duties: In this Board-Level position, the incumbent will answer to the Chairman, Managing Director, or CMD. He or she will be in charge of the full range of Project management encompasses contract and procurement, rules and tariffs, system studies, network planning, corporate planning, project commencement, planning, monitoring, controlling execution, and closing. In order to oversee major projects for any power generation company, the incumbent must have proven to have outstanding leadership abilities and project management knowledge.
