| A) Completion of Matriculation / SSLC along with an ITI certification from NCVT/SCVT-recognized institutions in the following trades: Fitter, Electrician, Instrument Mechanic, Millwright/Maintenance Mechanic, Mechanic (Radio & TV), Electronics Mechanic, Mechanic (Motor Vehicle), Wireman, Tractor Mechanic, Armature & Coil Winder, Mechanic (Diesel), Heat Engine, Turner, Machinist, and Refrigeration & Air-Conditioning Mechanic. (OR) Matriculation / SSLC combined with a Course Completed Act Apprenticeship in the aforementioned trades (OR) B) Matriculation / SSLC accompanied by a three-year Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Automobile Engineering (OR) a combination of various streams from these Engineering disciplines from a recognized institution, serving as a substitute for ITI. Note: A degree in the specified Engineering disciplines is also acceptable as an alternative to the Diploma in Engineering. |
Process for Recruitment of Assistant Loco Pilot RRB 2025:
(a) A candidate is permitted to apply to only one RRB, and must submit only ONE ONLINE application via one of the official websites of the participating RRBs mentioned in paragraph 13 (j). Submitting multiple applications to a single RRB or to various RRBs will result in the rejection of all applications and could lead to being barred from applying to RRBs/RRCs for future CENs.
(b) The recruitment process will consist of the following stages:
(i) First Stage CBT (CBT-1)
(ii) Second Stage CBT (CBT-2)
(iii) Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT)
(iv) Document Verification (DV) and
(v) Medical Examination (ME)
(c) Details regarding the examination schedule and locations will be provided in due course through the official RRB websites, as well as via SMS and email.
(d) Requests to postpone any stages or change the venue, date, or shift will not be considered under any circumstances.
How to apply:
(a) Applicants should thoroughly review all the information and instructions before completing the ONLINE application to avoid errors.
(b) Applicants may select only one RRB and are permitted to submit a single ONLINE Application for the advertised positions within their chosen RRB only.
(c) During the ONLINE APPLICATION process, candidates will need to Create an Account. If a candidate has previously set up an account for any Indian Railways CEN in 2024, prior to April 2025, they should use the same account credentials to log in and apply for this CEN (i.e., CEN No 01/2025) as well. If the candidate has not yet “Created Account,” it is necessary for them to first set up an account. Candidates are encouraged to enter the information required for account creation very carefully, as no changes of any kind will be allowed once the account has been established.
(d) Applicants are required to have an active mobile number and a valid email address to receive OTPs for account registration. No alterations to the information provided in the ‘Create an Account’ form (including mobile number and email address) will be allowed after submission.
(e) Candidates are strongly encouraged to verify their identity using Aadhaar during the “Create an Account” process, as this will facilitate a smoother procedure throughout various stages of recruitment for themselves. Alternatively, if applicants use other Photo IDs for identity verification, they will face considerably stricter and more detailed scrutiny during each phase of the recruitment process.
(f) Details entered in the ‘Create an Account’ form, including mobile number, email address, applicant’s name, father’s name, mother’s name, gender, nationality, date of birth, matriculation roll number, matriculation certificate serial number, the date on the matriculation certificate, and EKYC, cannot be altered at any stage after the account has been created under any conditions.
(g) Once the ONLINE application has been submitted (in its entirety) and the requisite fee has been paid successfully, if a candidate wishes to make any modifications, changes, or corrections to any information other than the 12 details in the ‘Create an Account’ form and the “Chosen RRB,” they may do so by paying a modification fee of Rs. 250/- (non-refundable) for each occasion between 14-05-2025 and 23-05-2025. The details in the ‘Create an Account’ form and the Chosen RRB are not subject to change. After 23-05-2025, RRBs will not consider any requests for modifications to the information provided in the application.
(h) It is essential to have mandatory scanned documents ready before starting the online application process.
- Standard photograph (Image) – Specifications: The photograph must be a color Indian passport-sized image (35mm width x 45mm height) with a plain white background. Candidates should wear non-white clothing, preferably in darker shades. The photograph should be in JPG/JPEG format, scanned at a minimum of 150 DPI resolution, and the file size should range between 50-150 KB. The color photograph must be taken no more than two months prior to the application submission deadline. 1.1) The photograph should present a clear front view of the candidate without sunglasses, dark glasses, caps, or hats, and if the candidate wears vision correction glasses, there should be no glare reflection on the lenses; both eyes must be clearly visible. The head should take up at least 50 percent of the photograph, with the full face directed towards the camera. The area below the elbows/below the chest should not be visible. The facial expression must be neutral (no grinning, frowning, or raised eyebrows). The eyes should be open and looking straight ahead.
- Hair, clothing, or shadows must not obscure the main features of the face. The nose, chin, neck, both shoulders, both eyes, both cheeks, and forehead should all be easily identifiable. The photo must have proper resolution (at least 240 pixels in width x 320 pixels in height), with appropriate brightness, sharpness, and continuous tone quality. It must not contain any signatures, names, dates, or other marks.
