Qualification
Candidate needs to have Master in Agronomy/ Soil Science/ Horticulture (Fruit or Vegetable science).
Required skills and Experiences
- Five years or more of in-depth experience in crop management, soil conservation, and water conservation.
- The ability to assess the district’s agricultural and associated context.
- A solid grasp of cutting-edge, environmentally friendly, and climate-resilient horticultural and agricultural techniques.
- Experience creating and carrying out projects related to climate-smart agriculture, crop diversification, organic and natural farming, sustainable agriculture, land restoration techniques, and soil and water
- Knowledge of interacting with pertinent parties at the block and district levels.
Role & Responsibilities
- Assistance in assessing the district’s agricultural context and creating appropriate plans and strategies in response.
- Communicating with pertinent parties at the block and district levels.
- Assistance in creating and leading agricultural technical training to encourage the use of sustainable farming methods.
- Assessing agricultural production at the field level.
- Encourage the establishment of green value chains for farming that is environmentally sustainable.
Selection procedure for Recruitment at Odisha Watersheds Department
Selection of the candidate will be carried out on the basis of CV Screening followed by interview. CV screening will be based on Educational qualification, Years of relevant experience and Language required.
