Recruitment at NEIGRIHMS Shillong 2026: The North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health & Medical Sciences (NEIGRIHMS), Shillong, Meghalaya has announced an urgent recruitment drive for the post of Senior Resident Doctors (three-year tenure). This recruitment is aimed at filling vacant positions to support patient care services.

Note: Asterisk (*) indicates posts where General or other category candidates may be considered for ad-hoc appointment if reserved category candidates are unavailable.
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:
- Postgraduate degree (MD/MS/DNB) in the respective field or subject.
- The qualification must be included in Schedule I & II of the 3rd Schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956.
- Satisfactory completion of a compulsory internship after MBBS.
- Must be registered with a State Medical Council or the National Medical Commission (NMC).
Age Limit:
- Maximum age: 45 years.
- Age relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC (Non-creamy layer) for reserved vacancies.
- Relaxation for physically handicapped candidates is provided as per Government of India norms.
Salary and Benefits
- Pay Scale: Level 11 of the Pay Matrix.
- Entry Pay: Rs. 67,700/- per month plus NPA and other admissible allowances.
- Accommodation: Appropriate accommodation will be provided based on availability.
