Position Details, Qualifications, and Pay Scale

Pay Scale: Rs. 50,000-3%-1,60,000/-
Minimum Educational Qualification (as on 29-08-2025)
- M.Sc. (Chemistry)
- Preference shall be given to Candidates with PhD (in Chemistry).
Note: The candidates from UR, OBC (NCL) and EWS category should have minimum 60% aggregate marks in the requisite educational qualification. For SC and Persons with Disability (PWD) candidates, relaxation of 5% is given in the minimum qualifying marks i.e. 55%.
Post Qualification Work Experience (as on 29-08-2025)
- Minimum 01 (One) year experience in carrying out sampling, monitoring and laboratory analysis in laboratories of Industry/ Consultancy Organizations /CSIR Labs/ PCS Labs / MOEFCC labs in the relevant fields.
- Preference shall be given to candidates with work experience in NABL accredited environmental laboratory.
Selection Mode and Interview Details for Recruitment at MECON Limited
Mode of Selection: The mode of selection shall be Personal Interview of the provisionally shortlisted candidates. The mode of selection may be changed, if required, at the discretion of Management.
Shortlisting: Shortlisting of the candidates for Personal Interview shall be done (on or before the date of Interview as per the discretion of management) based on the scrutiny of the applications against the information, declaration and supporting documents provided by the candidate at the time of submission of online application.
Personal Interview: The list of candidates called for the personal interview, along with the date, time, and venue of the interview, will be uploaded on MECON’s official website. The same information will also be communicated to the shortlisted candidates through their registered email IDs, as provided in the online application form.
Travelling Allowance (TA) for Interview (E-1 Grade): Out station Candidates appearing for the Personal Interview shall be reimbursed TA as given below:
- III Tier A/C (3A)/ CC by Rail/Rs. 7 per Km by road or at actual, whichever is less, subject to production of receipt /ticket and / or boarding pass. Rail fare shall be regular rail fare (No premium Tatkal/Talkal).

- Candidates belonging to General/ OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) category are required to pay a Non-Refundable fee of Rs.1000/- (Rupees One Thousand only).
- SC/PWD/Ex-Servicemen and internal candidates are exempted from the payment of application fee.
