Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s Degree in Library Science / Information Science / Documentation Science with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade).
- Ph.D. in Library Science / Information Science / Documentation / Archives & Manuscript Keeping.
- Proven record of modern library services & ICT integration.
- Minimum 8 years’ experience as Assistant Librarian (Academic Pay Level-10), including at least 2 years in Academic Pay Level-11, in a recognized Higher Education Institute, University, Institute of National Importance, or large Scientific/Technical Institution Library.

🧑‍🏫 Lecturer Vacancies (Contract Basis)
IISER Mohali invites applications from eligible Indian nationals for the appointment of seven (07) Lecturers purely on a contractual basis in the following subject areas:
- English / Comparative Literature (HSS) – Ph.D. with first class in the preceding degree; 3+ years post-PhD teaching/postdoctoral experience desirable.
- Studio Arts (HSS) – MFA in Studio Arts OR BFA + Master’s/Ph.D. in Art History/Theory; UG teaching experience desirable. Must submit CV, portfolio, teaching statement, and student work samples.
- Chemistry – Ph.D. in Chemistry with first class; UG teaching experience in Organic/Inorganic Chemistry desirable (coaching/school experience not considered).
- Science Education – Ph.D. in relevant area with first class; 3+ years teaching experience in pedagogy, curriculum, or science communication desirable.
- Biological Sciences – Ph.D. in Bioinformatics/Computational Biology/Genomics; 60% in Master’s degree; publications and programming skills desirable. UG teaching experience preferred.
- Structural Geology / Petrology (EES) – Master’s in Earth Sciences/Geology + Ph.D.; peer-reviewed publications and postdoc experience desirable.
- Atmospheric Sciences / Meteorology (EES) – Master’s in Atmospheric Sciences/Meteorology + Ph.D.; publications and specialization in measurement/observational techniques desirable.

- Appointment is purely temporary for one year, extendable for up to one more year.
- Pay as per Academic Pay Level 10 (Government of India norms).
- Posts are not part of the regular faculty cadre.
- 8 days leave/year (pro-rata basis). Excess leave will lead to salary deduction.
- Services may be terminated at any time by the Institute. Resignation requires 15 days’ notice or salary in lieu.
- Reservation as per GoI norms. OBC-NCL/EWS certificates must be from the current financial year. PwBD candidates should hold valid disability certificates (≥40%).

- Number of posts may change based on institutional needs.
- Candidates must not leave mid-semester while teaching assigned courses.
