Recruitment at IACS Kolkata 2026: The Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science (IACS), Kolkata, an autonomous institute under the Department of Science & Technology, Government of India, has released an advertisement for the recruitment of Assistant and Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) on a regular basis.

IACS is looking to fill a total of 10 positions across two categories:

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must be citizens of India and meet the following requirements as of May 15, 2026:
- Assistant (Group B):
- Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university.
- Experience: 5 years of establishment/administrative experience with knowledge of English, computer applications, and office administration.
- Age Limit: Not exceeding 30 years (born not earlier than May 15, 1996).
- Pay Scale: Level 7 (7th CPC); Initial Basic Pay of Rs. 44,900/-.
- MTS (General) (Group C):
- Qualification: Matriculation (10th) examination or equivalent.
- Age Limit: Between 18 to 25 years (born between May 15, 2001, and May 15, 2008).
- Pay Scale: Level 1 (7th CPC); Initial Basic Pay of Rs. 18,000/-.
Selection Procedure for Recruitment at IACS Kolkata
The selection will be based on a competitive process:
- Assistant: Level 1 – Written Test and Level 2 – Skill Test (Total 100 marks).
- MTS (General): Computer Based Test (50 marks) covering Numerical Ability, Reasoning, General Awareness, and English.

Fees must be paid via a Demand Draft drawn on State Bank of India only, in favor of “INDIAN ASSOCIATION FOR THE CULTIVATION OF SCIENCE” payable at Kolkata.

- All Other Categories: Rs. 1,000/-.
