Eligibility Criteria
1. Educational Qualifications
- RI: Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline + computer knowledge.
- ICDS Supervisor: Bachelor’s Degree in Arts, Science, or Commerce (Exclusively for women).
- VAW: +2 Science or +2 Vocational (Agriculture-related subjects).
- JA: +3 in Arts/Science/Commerce + computer skills.
- ARI & Amin: Higher Secondary (10+2) or equivalent / Diploma in Engineering + computer knowledge.
- SFS: 10+2 pass (CHSE, CBSE, or CISCE).
2. Age Limits (as of January 1, 2025)
- RI, ARI, and Amin: 20 to 42 years.
- All other posts: 21 to 42 years.
- Relaxations: 5 years for SC/ST/SEBC/Women; 10 years for PwD.
3. Language Proficiency
- Candidates must be able to read, write, and speak Odia.

Eligibility Criteria
Age (as of January 1, 2025)
- Forester & Forest Guard: Minimum 18 years and maximum 32 years.
- Excise Constable: Minimum 21 years and maximum 32 years.
- Relaxation: The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST/SEBC/Women and by 10 years for PwD9.
Educational Qualification
- Forester: Must have passed +2 Science with basic computer skills.
- Forest Guard: Must have passed High School Certificate (10+).
- Excise Constable: Must have passed +2 Examination or equivalent.

Selection Process for OSSSC Recruitment
Stage-I: Written Test (100 Marks)
The test is MCQ-based (OMR or CBRE mode) lasting 2.5 hours.
- Subjects: Mathematics (20), General Studies (25), English (20), Odia (15), and Computer (20).
- Negative Marking: 0.25 marks deducted for each wrong answer.
- Qualifying Marks: 30% for SC/ST/PwD/Ex-Servicemen/Sportsperson; 35% for others.
Stage-II: Physical Test
Candidates are shortlisted for the physical test at a ratio of not less than 3 times the number of vacancies.
